It’s Technique Thursday!

This week’s technique is the McKenzie Cervical Retraction Extension.

This technique can be a great option for those experiencing lower neck pain, upper trap pain, or symptoms that travel down the arm, such as tingling or discomfort.

If you’re experiencing any of these symptoms, schedule an evaluation with us today!

After increasing his training mileage, Trevor developed knee pain that forced him to stop during a race. He runs 60 miles a week - yes, for fun - and we’re now focused on reducing his pain, restoring strength, and getting him back to doing what he loves! 🏃‍♂️💪

Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) is a rare autoimmune disorder where the immune system attacks the peripheral nervous system. This causes rapid muscle weakness, tingling, and potential paralysis. Even babies get PT!!! Torticollis is a common condition in babies that is characterized by a twisted and/or tilted neck, often caused by tightened or spasming neck muscles. This can lead to plagiocephaly or misshapen head. The head tilt to one side is a key symptom, along with difficulty turning the head/neck, difficulty with feeding, and intolerance to tummy time. Above, Evan is demonstrating some possible treatments to address directional preference, impaired cervical muscle strength and motor control.
