95 years old, nearly 500 songs, and a lifetime of love for music. 🎹💛

Meet Lou Newman, a resident at StoryPoint Carmel whose piano playing brings a little extra joy to her neighbors every day!

Whether she's welcoming visitors with a familiar tune, accompanying the resident choir, or playing a song that takes someone back to a special moment, Lou knows just how powerful music can be.

“People stop by the piano every day, they say, ‘I was so down this morning, but when I heard your music, it made me happy.’ So, how can you not play?”

We had the pleasure of welcoming Henrik from the Detroit Symphony Orchestra for a beautifully haunting violin performance featuring familiar spooky classics, including favorites from The Phantom of the Opera! 🎭

A little mystery, a little nostalgia, and a whole lot of musical magic! We hope this is an experience our residents will look forward to again. 🕯️🎶

🦬🧡 There’s something special about spending a beautiful fall day outdoors, breathing in the crisp autumn air, surrounded by nature and some pretty incredible animals! 🍁🫎

Our visit to Marty’s Place for Animals was truly heartwarming. From feeding majestic elk and bison to making friends with goats and pigs, our residents experienced the simple joys that make life so meaningful.

What made our visit even more special was knowing that Marty’s Place is dedicated to giving animals a safe, loving home filled with compassion and care. ❤️

Last year, over 200 kiddos visited StoryPoint Clinton Township to trick-or-treat throughout our community—and we’re getting ready to welcome another amazing crowd this year!

We are collecting individually wrapped candy donations for our residents to pass out to all of our little trick-or-treaters. 🍫🍭🍬

Your donation helps give our residents the opportunity to participate, see all the adorable costumes, and create special memories with children and families from our community.

🎃 Every bag of candy helps!
🍬 Donations can be dropped off at StoryPoint Clinton Township Life Enrichment office!

Talk about a HIT! 🤠👢🎶 Our residents had an absolute blast at line dancing class! We learned The Hustle, Cotton-Eyed Joe, The Wobble, AND the Cha Cha Slide — and needless to say, we got our steps in! 😂💃🕺

There were lots of laughs, plenty of dancing, and some pretty impressive moves on the dance floor. We have a feeling this class will be making another appearance very soon! ❤️
