As an EMT, every day you are providing care and service to people in your community in their time of need. Whether in a critical emergency or routine medical transport, there is no more rewarding career than one serving others.

Medstar provides EMT training with no tuition and no debt. Upon licensure, you begin full time employment in our field training program, and on to your career as an EMT.

You'll learn from and train with our team members who've spent years in the field and in the classroom, and you'll be helping your community from day one.

After becoming a full time EMT with Medstar, you are qualified to begin our free, in-house paramedic program to advance your clinical knowledge and scope of care.

Our next EMT class begins on June 29 in Burton and registration is open now!
Class meets on Monday, Wednesday and every other Friday from 9AM-4PM.

This week, a patient reached out to express her gratitude for the crew that transported her home in St. Clair Shores. That crew was EMTs Daiyaan Bradshaw, Jalen Williams, and Amarea Smith.

This patient was so happy with her care she said: “Daiyaan was a true gentleman. He made sure I was comfortable and covered up at all times. He truly made me feel seen and comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. Jalen was a true jokester. He was making tasteful humor to me, which made me laugh. I enjoyed the banter we had. Amarea was very polite and comforting.”

Great job on your professionalism and care for this patient. It made a positive impact on her!

Paramedic Ryan Kurylo and EMT Gabrielle Durden helped celebrate the kick-off to the Davison Festival of Flags in the parade yesterday. They joined other first responders, Miss Davison and her court, service clubs and countless students from the district, as they marched from Davison High School to City Hall.

Medstar crews will be at the Festival all weekend, providing medical assistance to festival attendees. With temperatures reaching the upper eighties today and tomorrow, it is important to stay hydrated, wear loose fitting clothes. limit your sun exposure and have fun, responsibly!

Thank you to all of our donors last week! 30 units donated at our drives at Chesterfield Township Parks & Recreation and our Detroit facility! We appreciate the incredible support of our the communities we serve and our personnel who donated, and our partnership with Versiti Blood Center of Michigan!
