I have recently discovered that the YMCA has a pool that has handicap access as well as a wheelchair that will go into the water. I wanted to share this tid-bit with you guys because not many people know about it including myself until recently. If I had known this information I would have taken my husband to it. Not many places offer things like this and most people don't even think about the importance of places like this unless it affects themselves or a loved one. Even if you do not require a wheelchair to get into the water, the huge ramp makes it easier for the elderly and those with limited mobility. You don't have to be a member, you can purchase a day pass for $10.
