Today, we pause to remember and honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the countless heroes who showed extraordinary courage, compassion, and strength in the face of tragedy.
We will never forget those who lost their lives, the families forever changed, and the first responders and everyday heroes who answered the call to help.
May we continue to carry forward the spirit of unity, kindness, and resilience that brought our nation together. 🇺🇸

When Ashley arrived at Woodland Post Acute, she was extremely weak and very limited mobility. After suffering from an infection in her heart, she was bed-bound for two weeks. She was unable to walk and needed maximum assistance for transfers and ADLs.

Ashley was determined to get better so she could return home and over the next three weeks, she worked hard with PT and OT to make that goal possible. She participated consistently in her therapy sessions, focusing on improving her strength, endurance, balance, mobility, and ability to complete her daily activities independently.

Today, Ashley is able to walk 300 feet with a rolling walker, perform all transfers and daily tasks independently. Her strength and endurance have improved tremendously, allowing her to safely return home.

We are incredibly proud of Ashley and all the progress she has made. Congratulations, Ashley, on reaching your goal of going home! We wish you continued strength, health, and happiness on your journey ahead.

We kicked off Tennessee football season with a fun-filled tailgate pizza party! Our residents had a wonderful time enjoying great food, fellowship, and plenty of Tennessee spirit. 🍕🏈

Marina’s journey started with a serious heart attack that led to her hospital admission and days later she had to have surgery. When she arrived at Woodland Post Acute, she was incredibly weak and confused.

Over the next three weeks, Marina participated in intensive therapy. She worked hard in PT and OT, following every step of her plan and building back her confidence day by day. Though recovery wasn’t always easy, she kept showing up with determination and a positive attitude that truly inspired everyone around her.

Today, Marina is ready to go home. She has made remarkable progress, including walking 300 feet with a walker and successfully performing all daily tasks independently. Watching her regain control of her routine and mobility has been an incredible reminder of what patience, perseverance, and quality rehab can accomplish.

We are so proud of Marina. Her determination, resilience, and always-positive attitude have made her recovery possible. Safe travels home, Marina—we’re cheering for you every step of the way.

Sandra came to Woodland Post Acute following a serious fall that resulted in a broken hip and required surgery. When she arrived, she faced significant challenges and was unable to transfer, walk, or complete basic activities of daily living without assistance.

Sandra immediately began an intensive rehabilitation program with our OT and PT teams. Through hard work, determination, and consistent participation in therapy, she made remarkable progress in just two weeks.

Today, Sandra is ready to return home! She can walk up to 300 feet with a rolling walker, complete her daily activities independently, and perform transfers without assistance.

Sandra’s journey is a wonderful example of the power of perseverance and rehabilitation. Her progress in just two weeks is a true success story, and we are proud to have been part of her journey back to independence.

🌟💛 There’s No Place Like Woodland! 💛🌟

We had a wonderful time at our Yellow Brick Road Party! 🌈✨ Our residents enjoyed a fun-filled day of laughter, fellowship, and great memories.

A special thank you to the Moose Lodge for joining us and playing Bingo with our residents! 🎉 We also enjoyed some yummy treats and delicious drinks from our very own Woodland Sip Stop! 🥤🍭

From Hospitalization to Independence

Ira was admitted to the hospital after experiencing shortness of breath and dizziness and ultimately required open-heart surgery. Following surgery, he was very weak and had significant challenges with his strength and endurance.

After transitioning to intensive PT and OT, Ira worked incredibly hard toward his recovery. Over the course of just two weeks, his determination and consistent participation in therapy led to remarkable progress.

Today, Ira is able to walk up to 500 feet without an assistive device and independently completes all of his daily activities. He is now ready to return home and begin the next chapter of his recovery, with plans to live independently in his apartment.

Ira’s journey is a great example of how hard work, determination, and rehabilitation can help someone regain their independence and return home with confidence.
