Rainbow Caterpillar Flower Planter

Materials

Pool noodles in rainbow colors

Small plastic nursery pots

Googly eyes

Pipe cleaners

Pom-pom for the nose

Hot glue gun

Scissors or craft knife

Black marker

Small flowers or plants

Instructions

Step 1

Cut pool noodles into equal sections about 3 to 4 inches long.

Step 2

Insert a small plastic nursery pot into the center hole of each noodle section.

Step 3

Arrange the colorful sections in a row and glue them together to form the caterpillar body.

Step 4

Use a green noodle section for the head and glue it to the front of the body.

Step 5

Attach googly eyes and a pom-pom nose to the head.

Step 6

Curl two pipe cleaners and glue them into the top of the head as antennae.

Step 7

Draw a smile with a marker, add flowers to the pots, and place the caterpillar in the garden.

Tips

Use bright colors to create a rainbow effect.

Choose small flowering plants that fit the nursery pots.

Allow the glue to cool completely before moving the planter.
