Charlene Brooks Ratcliffe, born on December 24, 1953, in Clinton, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.

A longtime member of Pleasant View Baptist Church, Charlene's deepest hope was for everyone to come to know Jesus and accept Him as their Savior. She loved attending church and being part of church activities. Charlene retired from Y-12 after 37 years of dedicated service. Beyond her professional contributions, she was a woman who treasured her family above all else. Her grandchildren were truly her whole world, inspiring her daily and bringing immense joy to her life. In her leisure moments, Charlene enjoyed scrapbooking, a hobby that allowed her to preserve precious memories with her loved ones.

Charlene is survived by her devoted daughters, Brandi Anderson and Kelli Lee and husband Brian; brother, Charles Edward “Eddy” Brooks Jr. and wife Cynthia; sister, Marion Lee Martin and husband Don; grandchildren, Skylar Boor and husband Zack, Nathan Lee, Garrett Lee, and Kane Taylor, who is cherished as a grandchild in love; closest and dearest friends, Kathy Cardwell and Cathy Nance, whose bonds brought warmth and companionship throughout her life.

Charlene was preceded in death by her loving parents, Charles Edward Brooks Sr. and Betty Jean Brooks, and her beloved husband, Terry Ratcliffe, whose memory she honored with deep love and respect.

Visitation to honor Charlene’s life will be held at Jones Mortuary on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Graveside service will be Friday, May 8, 2026, at Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery, at 12:30 p.m.

William Ward III

William Ward III, born on October 19, 1975, in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, passed away on April 26, 2026, in Clinton, Tennessee. He was a cherished son, father, brother, and friend whose presence touched many lives.

William was a proud graduate of Anderson County High School, where he was an active member of the band. His passion for music extended beyond his school years, enriching his life alongside other interests that he held dear. He enjoyed going to the drag races at Bristol Dragway, gaming, listening to music, and hunting.

He is survived by his parents, William "Billy" Ward Jr., and Lisa Ward; daughter, Caitlin Ward; brother, Brandon Ward; granddaughter, Brynleigh Pierce; grandmother, Flossie Mayes as well as aunts Pat Wilder (Larry), Brenda Hensley(Aunt Bock Bock), and Susan Moses; uncle Terry Mayes (Amy); longtime girlfriend, Debbie Gibson, along with several cousins, relatives, and many friends who will remember him fondly.

William was preceded in death by grandmother, Cecile Moses; grandfathers, William Ward Sr. and Ancil Mayes; and his infant son, Xavier Ward.

A memorial gathering to honor William’s life will be held on May 5, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Jones Mortuary located at 375 N Main St, Clinton, TN 37716. This gathering will provide an opportunity for family and friends to come together, celebrate his life, and share memories.

William Ward III will be remembered for his spirit, his passions, and the warmth he shared with those around him. His legacy remains alive in the hearts of his loved ones, who mourn his loss and cherish the time spent with him.

Eugene Webb, age 89 of Powell, TN, passed away on April 18, 2026, at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.

Mr. Webb spent his career as a delivery truck driver, a role in which he demonstrated a strong work ethic and reliable service. Beyond his professional achievements, Eugene was known for his unwavering devotion to his family. Particularly notable was his steadfast care and love for his wife, Margaret Webb. During her time in a nursing home prior to her passing in 2020, Eugene visited her every day, sometimes twice daily, a testament to his strong will and profound marital devotion. Eugene enjoyed watching wrestling and had a great fondness for his dogs. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Margaret Webb; his parents, Homer and Ella Webb; and his sisters, Carol Ann Marra and Juanita Hicks.

Eugene is survived by his children: Michael Webb of Johnson City, TN; Debi Webb of Knoxville, TN; and Judy Hayes of Auburn, WA; his grandchildren, Christopher Webb and Casey Wishoff, as well as his great-grandchildren Blake and Brayden. He is further survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside service to honor Eugene Webb’s life will be held on April 24, 2026, at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens, 160 Edgemoor Road, Powell, TN 37849. The service will begin at 2:00pm.

Susan Lee Phillips, age 48, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 13, 2026, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. She was born on March 24, 1978, in Oak Ridge, TN., to her late parents Clarence Lindsay Jr. and Wanda Sue Girard Lindsay.

Susan had a passion for crafting, coloring, and word searches, activities that brought her much joy. Her faith and relationship with the Lord was central to her life, and she cherished attending church and reading her Bible.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Ricky Phillips of Rocky Top, Tennessee; her sister, Francis Lindsay Miller of Arizona; her father-in-law, Eli Phillips; brothers-in-law Benny Phillips, Tony Phillips (and Erika), and Michael Phillips; nieces, Lacey and Bailey; cousin Helen Bolton; as well as numerous other relatives and friends who held her dear.

Charles Homer Phillips, age 81 of Clinton, TN passed away Saturday, April 4, 2026 at his home in Clinton, TN. He was born February 18, 1945 in Devonia, TN to the late Carl and Louise Phillips. Charles loved his grandkids, great grandkids and spending time with them. He was a free hearted person and enjoyed helping people. His favorite was to watch wrestling.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Bertha Mae Lowe Phillips of 53 years; son, Mickey Phillips; daughters, Cindy Phillips and Penny Carroll.

Charles is survived by his son, Michael Phillips of Clinton, TN; daughter, Carolyn Weldon of Clinton, TN; brother, FC Phillips of Oklahoma; sister, Ruby Daugherty of New River, TN; special grandson, Austin Alan Phillips; grandchildren, Mikey, Johnny, Ray, Ashley, Jr., Brandon, Candy, Amber, Dylan, Jacob and Jaman; great grandchildren, Danielle, Nicky, Westlyn, Allie, Adrianna, Aubree and many more great grandchildren; son in law, Hobart Phillips of Wartburg, TN; daughter in law, Darlene Phillips of Clinton, TN; brother in law, Lacy Lowe of Scott County, TN; sisters in law, Dean of Knoxville, TN, Bessie of IN., and Bernetta of IN.; special friends, Joe Hamby of Wartburg, TN, Angela Basler of Wartburg, TN, Shawna Barrett of Wartburg, TN, “pretty little lady” Liz of Knox County; special cousin, Jennifer “Sissy” Webb of Oak Ridge, TN; niece, Anita Phillips of Oklahoma; nephews Carl Phillips of Oklahoma, Nathan “Popeye” Phillips, Johnny and Jonas Phillips.

It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Debra Kay Underwood, who departed this life on Thursday, March 30, 2026. Born on June 7, 1961, in Oliver Springs, Tennessee.

A cherished mother and daughter, Debra found great joy in the warmth of family gatherings and the simple pleasure of fishing.

Debra’s cherished memory will live on in the hearts of her beloved sons, Robby and Jessie Lough; her devoted mother, Julie Seeber; her brothers, Scotty and Robert Wagner; and her sisters, Elaine Braden and Nancy Goodman. John Miller

John Miller, a devoted family man known for his warm spirit and playful sense of humor, passed away on March 26, 2026, in Clinton, Tennessee. Born on August 27, 1955, in Knoxville, Tennessee.

John’s career began and flourished at Family Brands International, formerly known as Elm Hill Meats, where he worked as a butcher. His commitment to community made him a cherished figure within the local area.

Known affectionately as a jokester, John was a loving husband for 22 years to his devoted wife, Donna Kay Miller. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family and engaging with friends throughout town, always ready to extend kindness and a welcoming smile. His warmth touched many, and his presence will be deeply missed.

John was born to Benny and Dorothy Miller, who predeceased him, and is survived by a large and loving family. His brothers David and Paul Miller, along with his sisters-in-law Leola Miller, Jennie Messer, and Sally Williams, and brother-in-law Carl Williams, carry forward his legacy. He also leaves behind his stepsons, Darrell Maples and Matt Maples; his grandchildren, Jase Maples and Andrew Maples; and a wide circle of nieces and nephews, including Michael Miller, Aleisha Summers and her husband Chris, Kylee Harmon, Natalee Summers, Lily Summers, Paul Myron Miller and his wife Vanessa, Savannah Miller, Kristi Basford and her husband Matt, Ryan Basford, and Macy Basford. Each will remember John's lively spirit and the love he generously shared.

The local community is invited to honor John's life with a visitation on March 30, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Black Oak Baptist Church, with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM. Graveside service and interment will immediately follow in the Black Oak Baptist Church Cemetery.

John's memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration to those who knew him. His laughter, love, and legacy will remain alive in the hearts of his family and community.

Bobby Lee Lowe, age 63 of Knoxville, TN passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. He was born on September 28, 1962 in Oak Ridge, TN to the late L.C. and Josephine Lowe. He enjoyed and spent most of his time volunteering at the Horse Haven in Seymour, TN. Bobby also enjoyed coaching kid's baseball and softball. He loved fishing as well.

Along with Bobby's parents he is preceded in death by his wife Jackie Cruze Lowe; brother, J***y Lowe; and two sisters, Peggy Lowe and Judy Lowe.

He is survived by his brother Howard Lowe and wife Suzie of Knoxville, TN; sisters, Brenda Hammond of Knoxville, TN, Carolyn Phillips and husband Wayde of Knoxville, TN, and Lillian Smith and husband Edward of Florida. Bobby also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Larry Lee Jackson, age 77 of Andersonville, TN formerly from Galien, MI passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026 at his home. He was born October 24, 1948 in Berrien County, MI (Benton Charter Township) to the late Loys and Myrna Jackson.

He was a Marine Corps veteran who served in Vietnam. Larry was a great father and grandfather, and enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed competition playing pool and darts with his friends. Larry was very generous to those who were in need. His fascination was research with genealogy.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Rex Jackson; sisters, Janie Jackson and Sandra Szlanfucht.

Larry is survived by his son, Lance Jackson of Michigan City, IN ; daughters, Carrie Jensen (Gary) of Andersonville, TN and Kymberly Zoll (Jacob) of Laporte, IN; grandchildren, Ruby, Emmett, Elaina, Noah, Joseph, Julia, Andrew, Alex, Nathan, Caleb, Peighton, Kaitlyn and Zander, also seven great grandchildren.

Graveside service for Larry will be on Friday, March 20, 2026 at 10:30 am at Red Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Andersonville, TN with Pastor Larry Ridenour officiating and with full military honors.
