Children do not always have the words to explain when they are feeling stressed, overwhelmed, anxious, or frustrated. Instead, those feelings often show up through changes in behavior.
You may notice increased irritability, withdrawal, difficulty focusing, changes in sleep habits, emotional outbursts, or behaviors that seem out of character. These changes can sometimes be a child's way of communicating that they are struggling with something internally.
Taking time to listen, offer support, and create a safe space for conversation can make a meaningful difference.
At Life Connections, we believe understanding the "why" behind a behavior is just as important as addressing the behavior itself.
