Today our community had a truly special visit thanks to one of our very own dietary team members, Jimmie Rae. Alongside being a wonderful part of our kitchen crew, Jimmie is also a college student in the Department of Criminal Investigations (DCI), working with the Cyber Crime Bureau – Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Jimmie brought members of the organization — including a K‑9 partner — to Woodlands Creek to share their mission, their work, and how they help protect children across Iowa. Our residents were captivated. They loved meeting the K‑9, hearing real stories from the field, and learning about the incredible work this team does every day.

We’re so proud of Jimmie for the passion, dedication, and heart he brings both to her studies and to our community. Moments like this remind us how lucky we are to have staff who go above and beyond.
