Community Memorial Hospital Your Neighbors Caring for You. Community Memorial Hospital opened on July 27, 1958, as a 26-bed regional hospital.

In 2004, CMH completed a $15 million building project, the largest renovation project since the hospital was built, and we continue to update our technology and improve our services. In 2008, CMH celebrated 50 years of service to our community. CMH currently employs 400 people and directly and indirectly contributes over $40 million to the regional economy.

Hospital pharmacists are very involved with patient care, working with other departments to determine the best course of action and dispense medication that is safe and well-suited for each patients' needs.

Each day, our pharmacists:
✅Help select treatment and monitor patient response to drugs
✅Mix medications for chemotherapy patients
✅Approve medication orders to ensure correct drug, dose, and route
✅Ensure safety by monitoring drug interactions, allergies, and side effects
✅Fill and check emergency drug kits

In October, we wear pink! CMH Specialty Clinic and Imaging Department staff celebrated Breast Cancer Awareness Month by wearing their best pink outfits to work.

Did you know? 👇

💕Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women globally.

💕Most women diagnosed with breast cancer do not have a known family history of the disease.

💕Every woman should have an annual mammogram beginning at age 40 and should talk to their primary care provider about doing it sooner if there is a family history.

💕Women should practice breast self-awareness and talk to their primary care provider if they notice any changes.

💕 A referral is not required for a screening mammogram. Please call 218-878-7015 to schedule an appointment at CMH Imaging.

Between daycare, school, and cooler weather, it can seem like kids are always sick. 🤒💔

While kids are more susceptible to illness due to their developing immune systems, Physician Assistant Kevin Armbruster shares when it might be something more serious.

Most people with the flu get better on their own within 1 to 2 weeks. Take your child to the doctor if they:
🔷 Start breathing fast, or have trouble breathing
🔷 Turn blue or purple
🔷 Are not drinking enough fluids
🔷 Will not wake up, or will not interact with you
🔷 Are so unhappy they do not want to be held
🔷 Get better from the flu, but then get sick again with a fever or cough
🔷 Have a fever and a rash
