In honor of America 250 and remembrance of 9/11, the City of Clovis is set to light the Old Town Clovis Water Tower in red, white, and blue this September 11th. To mark the occasion, we invite the community to join us for a special lighting ceremony, held in partnership with the Clovis Veterans Memorial District.

The Old Town Clovis Water Tower Lighting Ceremony will take place on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 8:00 PM in the park on the northwest corner of 5th Street and Veterans Parkway, where there is a clear view of the tower. The city-hosted ceremony is also part of a larger 9/11 event taking place that evening, hosted by the Clovis Veterans Memorial District, and will take place concurrently with the Old Town Clovis Friday Farmers Market, which will have a special theme of its own that evening – “Never Forget”.

The Old Town Clovis Water Tower is currently lit in white, and the new lights will add both red and blue. Following the ceremony, the tower will remain lit in the colors of our country through the end of the year.

We hope you'll join us and be part of the community countdown as we light the tower in red, white, and blue for the first time.
