Looking for a recovery community where you can show up fully as yourself? ✨

🏳️‍🌈Gay and Le***an AA has been creating affirming, inclusive recovery spaces since 1975. With meetings across Oregon and nationwide, it's a community built specifically for LGBTQ+ people in recovery from alcohol.

No matter where you are in your journey, community matters.
This one's worth knowing about.

Finding the right support as an LGBTQ+ person in recovery takes more than just showing up.
It takes finding a place that actually sees you. ✨

A few things to look for when choosing treatment:

🌈 Affirming, judgment-free clinical staff
⚧️ Programs that treat the whole person, not just symptoms
🧘 Space for spirituality in all its forms

You deserve care that meets you where you are. Don't settle for less.

Pride Month is about being seen.
All of who you are. 🏳️‍🌈

✨For so many in the LGBTQ+ community, the path to recovery is tangled up with identity, shame, and the weight of not feeling accepted. Spirituality, in its many forms, can be a powerful part of untangling that.

🔗Our team wrote about how perspective and spiritual connection support sobriety, and it's worth a read:

Our team at Serenity Lane is proud to utilize a spiritual approach to long-lasting healing and sobriety. No matter your experience with substance use or untreated mental health conditions, our team is here for you.

Did you know alcohol can cause psychosis? 🧠

It's one of those things that surprises people, but it's more common than most realize. And the Serenity Lane team wrote a whole breakdown on what it is, why it happens, and what to do if someone you love experiences it.

🔗 Read it here:

Can drinking really cause psychosis? Could you spot it if your friend was experiencing it? Learn those answers and more in our blog.

This Memorial Day, we're holding space for everyone who has served.
The weight that veterans carry doesn't always end when service does.
PTSD, substance use, depression: these are real battles too. 🪖

✨At Serenity Lane, we have specialty programs built specifically for veterans and first responders, because generic treatment isn't enough for what they've been through.

To those lost, we thank you.
To those still fighting, we're here.

Sometimes what looks like addiction is only part of the story.
Borderline Personality Disorder, depression, anxiety, PTSD.
These conditions often show up alongside substance use, and they can make recovery a lot harder when they go unaddressed.

Signs that more may be going on:

😠 Extreme mood shifts that feel out of control
😨 Intense fear of abandonment or instability
‼️ Impulsive behaviors beyond substance use

If this sounds familiar, you're not alone.
Dual diagnosis treatment exists for exactly this reason.

50+ years.
Thousands of people.
One community that doesn't let go. 🫂

✨Serenity Lane alumni don't just stay sober. They stay connected. To each other, to the staff who walked alongside them, and to a network that keeps showing up long after treatment ends.
That kind of community doesn't happen by accident. It's built on purpose, and it's one of the things that sets us apart.

If you're looking for recovery that sticks, this is what it looks like.

Loving someone in recovery is its own kind of hard.
You want to help, but you're not always sure what that looks like.

A few things that actually make a difference:

👂 Listen without trying to fix everything
💭 Learn about co-occurring conditions, not just addiction
♥️ Set boundaries with love, not ultimatums

You don't have to figure this out alone, either.
✨Serenity Lane's family programming is built for you, too.

Here's what that looks like in practice:

🌿 Evidence-based care AND whole-person support

✨A community that sticks around long after discharge

Your recovery can be whole.
