ProMed Ambulance Company sends our thoughts and prayers to the team at Dante Rescue Squad.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Captain, Daniel "Dan" Glass, Jr.

Captain Glass faithfully served as the leader of the Dante Rescue Squad for many years and dedicated himself to serving our community since 1968. His unwavering commitment, leadership, and compassion touched countless lives and left a lasting legacy that will never be forgotten.

Funeral arrangements will be shared here as soon as they become available.

Please keep the Glass family and all members of the Dante Rescue Squad in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time as we mourn the loss of a truly remarkable man.

* AT 847 PM EDT, DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING HEAVY RAIN ACROSS THE WARNED AREA. BETWEEN 2.5 AND 3 INCHES OF RAIN HAVE FALLEN ALREADY THIS AFTERNOON, WITH 1 TO 2 INCHES OF THAT OCCURRING IN THE LAST HOUR. ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE IN THE WARNED AREA AS MORE STORMS MOVE IN FROM SOUTHEAST KENTUCKY. AS SUCH, FLASH FLOODING IS ONGOING OR EXPECTED TO BEGIN SHORTLY.
