Congratulations to Felicia Sykes — May Spark Award Winner!

Kootenai Health is proud to recognize Felicia Sykes of Business/Billing Services as the recipient of the May Spark Award for her outstanding work as a Financial Counselor in Revenue Cycle Patient Accounts.

Felicia exemplifies the compassionate, patient-centered care that defines Kootenai Health. Since joining the organization, she has consistently gone above and beyond to support patients during some of life’s most stressful and uncertain moments. Through empathy, active listening, and thoughtful communication, she helps patients feel informed, reassured, and supported.

Felicia was nominated by the Engagement Committee in recognition of the positive impact she makes every day. One patient recently shared how Felicia transformed an overwhelming billing situation into an experience built on trust and understanding. By patiently explaining complex information, providing consistent updates, and approaching every interaction with kindness and compassion, Felicia ensured the patient felt heard and cared for throughout the process.
