🎓 Investing in the future of healthcare starts right here in North Idaho!

Kootenai Health's Family Medicine Coeur d'Alene Residency Program is celebrating a major milestone this year by graduating its 10th class, bringing the total number of graduates to 62 family medicine physicians since the program began in 2014.

As the only family medicine residency program in northern Idaho, the program was created to help address our region's physician shortage while preparing the next generation of doctors to provide exceptional care in both urban and rural communities.

The impact is already being felt:
🏥 32 graduates are practicing in Idaho, including 16 in Kootenai County.
❤️ Residents provide more than 9,000 continuity clinic visits, 6,500 inpatient encounters, and 350 deliveries each year.
🌲 Many graduates choose to stay in the region, strengthening access to primary care for communities across North Idaho.

Looking ahead, the program will continue expanding graduate medical education, strengthening rural health pathways, and creating new fellowship opportunities to help meet our community's evolving healthcare needs.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026 and to everyone who makes this program possible. To support this vital program: www.kootenaihealthfoundation.org/donate-online/

Cancer Donor Horoscope
Nurturing • Protective • Home-Oriented

The stars are calling on you, dear Cancer, to lead with the nurturing spirit that defines your sign- because right now, someone needs a place to call home. The Davidson Family Hospitality Center and Walden House exists so that a diagnosis never forces a patient to choose between treatment and the burden of long travel, or between healing and sleeping in their own bed during weeks of care at Kootenai.

You, Cancer, are the embodiment of shelter and home, and by supporting the Hospitality Center you provide exactly that for those who need it the most. Click here to learn more about a gift to the Hospitality Center today: The Kootenai Health Davidson Family Hospitality Center and Walden House
