Our interns were featured on the front page of our local newspaper today! Congrats graduates! Kootenai Health Kootenai Health Careers Coeur d'Alene Press Coeur d'Alene Public Schools

Liam Coffey learned how to work as part of a team and work hard during his internships over the last year. As he presented his experiences to a crowded room on Thursday at the Health Resource Center at Kootenai Health, his mother, Joann Coffey, couldn’t help but wipe away happy tears.

Dear Project SEARCH Supporters,
Hello everyone my name is Tony and I am the one of the team leads at Project SEARCH this week.This week we are finishing up our last internship. So far three of the other interns have been hired, one at Lakeland School District as a dishwasher, another at Home Depot and one at Fairchild Air Force Base Dining Hall. All others, including me, are still applying and interviewing for jobs. So far I have had 2 interviews including one yesterday at Olive Garden. We look forward to seeing everyone at our Graduation next week!

Dear Project SEARCH Supporters!
My name is Joshua Hughes, and I’m the team lead this week. My third internship is in Patient Equipment Transport Services (PETS). In this department, I move equipment throughout the hospital. I collect dirty equipment, clean both the equipment and carts, and return the clean equipment to the equipment rooms.
I have also been applying for different jobs and have completed two interviews so far. I am looking for a job where I can help people and keep things clean and organized. I’m hopeful that I will hear back soon. I am interested in continuing to learn new job skills and gain more experience.

Dear Project SEARCH Supporters,
My name is Nate, for my third internship I'm at the IT Department for the CDA School District. The main IT building was undergoing renovations, so we had temporarily moved into the food services building, however as those renovations are being completed, we are slowly moving back into the building. I started when they were in the food services building. I've been helpful, by organizing cords, moving furniture, and installing shelves. I've currently put in an application for their paid summer internship position. I've also started taking a computer programming college class to help me towards my certification, and I've also gotten my learners permit, currently driving, I have practiced parallel parking and street driving, I left the Freddies Steakburgers parking lot, and then drove on the main road up to Cabelas.

Hi my name is Peyton, and I'm team lead this week. My current internship is Central Supply. I take cardboard to the compactor. I deliver items all over the hospital and I put yellow stickers on items for patient billing. I am interested in jobs at Target, Fred Meyer, Walmart, North 40, or CDA school district nutrition services. This week was my final IEP/employment Meeting. I have a great smile and attitude for my work! This week was also my birthday, I had a great party!

Dear Project SEARCH Supporters,
Hello everyone my name is Tony and I am the team lead at Project SEARCH. This week we had a great week in our internships and we had a visit from a past Project SEARCH intern. This internship I am honored to be the 1st intern in our Project SEARCH program to work at the Hospitality Center. This is a mini-hotel for people who have to stay close to the hospital. Throughout the week I have been busy cleaning the kitchen areas and turning over rooms for guests. I also clean the outside areas, vacuum, and fold linens. We have had some of next year's selected interns come in to spend the day with us to get a better understanding of our program. Everyone is working on presentations for our upcoming I.E.P meetings. That's about it WE hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!
