CRMC Welcomes Briana “Bri” Young, PharmD, to Community Rx
Coffeyville Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is pleased to welcome Briana “Bri” Young, PharmD, as the new pharmacist at Community Rx, CRMC’s retail pharmacy.
For many area residents, Bri will already be a familiar face. She has worked in pharmacy since 2016 and brings extensive community pharmacy experience, along with a strong commitment to providing personal, accessible pharmacy care to the people of Southeast Kansas.
“We are very excited to welcome Bri to Community Rx,” said Brian Lawrence, President and CEO of CRMC. “Community Rx was created to provide another important healthcare resource for our community, and having a pharmacist who understands rural healthcare and values personal relationships with patients is exactly what we want this pharmacy to represent.”
Bri began her pharmacy career in 2016, gaining experience as a pharmacy clerk, technician and intern while completing her education. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy in 2023 and is a licensed pharmacist in both Kansas and Oklahoma.
Since earning her PharmD, Bri has continued to build her experience in community pharmacy, serving first as a staff pharmacist and later as Pharmacist-in-Charge. Most recently, she served as Pharmacist-in-Charge for two community pharmacy locations in Sedan and Cedar Vale, Kansas. In that role, she oversaw pharmacy operations and patient care services while also managing Kansas’s first telepharmacy pilot program, an initiative designed to expand pharmacy access in rural communities.
Her experience includes medication counseling, immunizations, medication therapy management, pharmacy operations, medication safety and collaboration with healthcare providers to help patients achieve the best possible outcomes.
Just as important to CRMC is Bri’s commitment to being part of the community she serves. Throughout her career, she has been actively involved in community events and organizations, including participation with the Sedan Chamber of Commerce and local fundraising and community activities.
Bri and her husband, Travis Young, are both part of the Coffeyville-area community. Travis serves as Chief Financial Officer at Coffeyville Community College. Their connection to the area makes Bri’s arrival at Community Rx especially meaningful.
“I’m excited to be part of Community Rx and to have the opportunity to serve patients in Coffeyville and the surrounding communities,” Bri said. “Community pharmacy allows you to really get to know the people you serve, and I look forward to building those relationships and helping our patients with their medication and healthcare needs.”
Community Rx retail pharmacy is located inside CRMCs new Primary Care Building at 1411 W. 4th Street in Coffeyville and has a convenient drive-thru.
CRMC is a 25-bed non-profit critical access hospital serving Southeast Kansas and Northeast Oklahoma. Since 1949, CRMC has been committed to providing excellence in rural healthcare - close to home.
