🍂🌽 Fall Is in the Air at Prairie Senior! 🥔🍁

There’s nothing quite like enjoying the simple joys of fall! Our residents have been busy shucking fresh corn, making delicious potato salad, and soaking up the beautiful weather with a picnic in the park. 🌽🥔🧺

We’re making memories, sharing laughs, enjoying good food, and celebrating the changing season together. ❤️

🌟 A Fun Day Out at Prairie Senior! 🌟

Our Prairie Senior residents had a wonderful day trip to Oakley, Kansas! 🚌💜 We enjoyed exploring the museum, making memories together, and then hopped in at IHOP for a delicious lunch! 🥞🍳☕

There’s nothing better than getting out, having some fun, and enjoying a day with friends! We’re already looking forward to our next adventure! 😊💜

We had some very special helpers from the Citizens Clubhouse join our residents to decorate cupcakes. It’s always so fun watching the kiddos and residents interact while spending time together!

Today we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. 🇺🇸

At Prairie Senior, we are especially grateful for the veterans, families, and loved ones who carry these memories and legacies with them every day. This Memorial Day, we pause to reflect, remember, and give thanks for the freedoms we enjoy because of their service.

Thursday was Day 4 of NHW and our most anticipated event as we hosted our Family & Friends Game Night followed by a resident picked meal!

To kick the day off we made our own colorful bouquets. The afternoon rolled around and our halls were filled with laughter, some friendly competition and games of all kinds.

Thank you to our guests who joined us for supper! The dessert table didn’t stand a chance with the superb cheesecake, cake and cupcake selections!

Wednesday was Day 3 of NHW for our crew with more “moments in bloom”!

We painted flower themed birdhouses in the morning. The afternoon took the cake spending time out on our patio. Fresh air, kite flying, the sunshine - we even had some entertainment especially for our men watching the excavators and trucks in action hauling dirt!

This afternoon we have our big game night we are gearing up for! Games start at 2 with supper around 5, family & friends are welcome to join!

Where better to blossom than a greenhouse?!

Yesterday was Day 2 of NHW and we took a trip to Moonlight Gardens to stroll around and enjoy the beautiful flowers and plants galore! Thank you to Charlene & her team for hosting us, their kindness and time to allow us such a wonderful outing.

That afternoon we enjoyed our own little succulent planting station. Check out their beautiful little blooms!

It was a bouquet of fun all day long!

Monday we kicked of NHW trying our art skills with painting some flowers in the morning. Then in the afternoon we gathered for a tea party and snapped some photos with our themed backdrop our activity director created! There was lots of reminiscing and smiles all around creating new memories!

🌷 Nursing Home Week 2026 - Moments in Bloom 🌷

It's here! Starting Monday we have quite the line up to incorporate all the ways to make more moments & memories blossom for our sweet residents!

Thursday will be our family afternoon & supper for those who would like to attend - we can't wait to celebrate with everyone! 💐
