Get your flu shot without leaving your vehicle! Citizens Health will once again be offering drive-thru flu shots on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 9 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

Most days, Matt serves behind the scenes as our Ancillary Services Director. Recently, a need gave him the chance to step back into patient care as a physical therapist.

Here’s what one patient shared about the experience:

Citizens Health is hiring an Emergency Department Manager at Citizens Medical Center.

This full-time leadership role oversees the clinical and operational functions of the Emergency Department, including quality patient care, department policies and initiatives, and collaboration between ED staff, medical staff, patients, families, and community partners. The position also provides oversight of the Citizens Health Trauma Program and works in collaboration with the Emergency Preparedness Committee.

Applicants must be a Kansas-licensed RN or eligible for licensure with at least five years of nursing experience, including two years in an emergency department setting, plus prior leadership or charge nurse experience. Experience in rural healthcare or a critical access hospital setting is preferred.

This week, we're introducing Jeri Jacobs, our Food Service Manager. Jeri has been with Citizens Health for 23 years, and when asked what she loves about her job, her answer was simple: it makes people happy and fed.
Outside of work, Jeri enjoys baking, spending time with her grandkids, and life on the farm.

It's Work With Us Wednesday! This week's featured job is a Phlebotomist with Citizens Health.

This job would be a great fit for someone who enjoys working with people, pays close attention to detail, and wants to be part of a healthcare team making a difference every day.

As a Phlebotomist, you'll work in our hospital and clinic laboratories, assisting with specimen collection and preparation, basic laboratory procedures, and other day-to-day lab needs.

Position Details:
• Full-time position
• Pay based on experience
• Phlebotomy certification is preferred, but we're willing to train the right person.

We're looking for someone who communicates well, stays calm under pressure, and provides a positive experience for patients while working closely with the rest of our laboratory team.
