🎶 Seeking Musicians for Our Residents at Home and Comfort 🎶

Music is good for the soul, and we are looking to bring more joy, memories, and connection to our residents at Home and Comfort!

We are seeking local musicians, singers, or instrumentalists who enjoy playing older genres of music that our residents know and love—songs they can sing along to and reminisce about.

🎵 We are looking for music such as:

• Classic country
• Oldies (50s, 60s, and 70s)
• Elvis, Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Frank Sinatra, and similar artists
• Gospel music
• Big band and easy listening favorites
• Acoustic performances

Details:

• Paid opportunity
• 1-hour performance
• Once per week (or based on your availability)
• Small, welcoming assisted living setting

Help create meaningful moments and brighten our residents’ day. Music has a special way of bringing back memories, encouraging connection, and putting smiles on faces.

🌎✈️ Today our residents took a walk around the world during exercise time!

We traveled to Spain 🇪🇸, Great Britain 🇬🇧, India 🇮🇳, the United States 🇺🇸, and Japan 🇯🇵 without ever leaving Home and Comfort! Residents enjoyed walking, stretching, and learning fun facts about each country along the way.

Staying active doesn’t have to be boring. Today’s adventure encouraged movement, conversation, and lots of smiles while exploring different cultures from around the globe.

We love finding creative ways to keep both our minds and bodies healthy while having fun together. ❤️

Our residents had a wonderful time today enjoying a friendly game of bowling! There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and a little healthy competition as everyone took their turn aiming for a strike.

Activities like bowling help keep our residents active, engaged, and connected while creating special memories together. It’s not always about the score—it’s about the friendships, fun, and joy shared along the way.

We are so grateful for these moments that bring our Home and Comfort family together. ❤️

“When I think of Home and Comfort as my workplace for the past 15+ years, what stands out most is the compassion we have for our residents. I have had the privilege of caring for so many wonderful people throughout the years and have lost some very special ones along the way. I will continue to cherish each resident, as they truly become like family to me.

Another reason Home and Comfort means so much to me is my coworkers. We always come together to support one another, and that sense of teamwork is something special. I also want to give a heartfelt thank you to our nurses and to our boss, who goes above and beyond for all of us every day.
I wouldn’t have wanted to spend these years anywhere else. Home and Comfort is more than a workplace—it’s my home, my comfort, and my place.

“Why did I choose Home and Comfort? Since I was old enough to know better I have had a dream of being someone that people can count on specifically those who no longer have the ability to care for themselves as much as they used to. My favorite part of being employed at home and comfort is the friendships I’ve built with the residents, all the staff and the management team. We are there always lending a helping hand to each other to make sure our residents know they are cared for, and feel safe in their home. The smiles and laughter I am able to give the residents every time I walk through the doors for my shift is truly a blessing. It is such an honor to be apart of such an amazing work place! I love how management cares so much for both the employees and the residents.
