Scotty update: he gave his friend her flowers and she loved them and he got two hugs!!!

Scotty’s last week adjusting to his new hearing aides has been rough to say the least … but Scotty has found an amazing little girl to be his friend and he said he needed to get her flowers to thank her for being his best friend ever in the whole world so we went and picked up forever flowers aka fake flowers lol… boy o boy did he know what he wanted .. he said sun flowers, red roses and the purple flowers from Mimi Amy’s yard aka iris .. unfortunately we could not find iris so he settled for purple flowers! So PSA if this little girls parents see this post please don’t be mad! He is just so happy to of made a friend!! And this mommas heart is melting .. I thought I had many more years before late nights of making bouquets but I guess not!

We are at childrens today to see endocrinology to discuss if Scotty will need any hormone therapy with only having one adrenal gland, receiving many doses of chemo including isotretinoin which stunts growth

Scotty’s scans came back with a curie score of zero meaning he is still in remission!!!

As Scotty adjusts to his new childhood, he has struggled with various social anxiety and behavioral issues. However, we have found one approach that consistently helps soothe him and facilitate connection. Scotty has become increasingly captivated by the Pout-Pout Fish book series and the emotional food series . I have prepared a wish list of the specific titles he has been enthusiastically seeking recently. We appreciate the ongoing support you have provided and do not expect anyone to specifically buy anything but I figured I would post this since I have had several people reach out to me regarding his recent interests.

We are currently sitting at children’s waiting to go back for Scotty to get his routine MIBG, MRI, and CT scans! Wish us luck , say a prayer, or send positive vibes!
