I just want to take a second and introduce our new CO-PAY fee schedule for our self pay policy and a change to our CO-PAY fee schedule for our deductible only insurance policy. These changes go into effect July 6, 2026.
WHY THE CHANGE, you might ask?! As of right now, for the last 120-days we have $41,760.36 out in unpaid claims for self pay and deductible only balances. 😖 $9,684.24 of that is for the last 90-days. 😮
EVERYTHING has gone up in cost! You all are very well aware of this and feeling it from groceries, fuel, utilities, insurance, everything! What is the 1 thing that hasn't changed in cost to you?? The fee for your healthcare visit with your P*P, whether a well child visit or sick visit. The fees that we are allowed to charge are set by a Federal agency known as CMS. So, while all of our medical supplies, office supplies, insurance, utilities, screening tools and vaccines have increased in cost, we have had to absorb the cost because again.....we can't increase the fee we charge you! BUT, what we can do is collect money that has been owed to us for many months!
I have never used a Collection Agency in the 11 years of being here but that is the next step for Treasured Pediatric Care to continue to offer the quality of care that your children receive here.
We are not the only office struggling! The struggle is felt across the nation for private practices. These are practices owned independently, not owned by large healthcare corporations.
If you are self pay, we will still offer care under Arubah Community Clinic IF YOU QUALIFY!! Just ask the next time you are in!
Our new CO-PAY fee for self pay policy, due at time of visit:
New patient WELL visit $150
Established patient WELL visit $125
New patient SICK visit $150
Established patient SICK visit $100
ALL deductible only plans $50 due at time of visit.
Again, these are due when you check in for your appointment!!! AND, it will be posted at the check-in desk!
We do offer a 20% discount if you pay for your entire visit before you leave your appointment!
Please know I have wrestled with this decision because for years, if you could not pay it was ok. But it is not okay anymore. We are in a difficult position and want to continue to serve your families!
AND, one last thing! I will not tolerate my Receptionist being disrespected. If you have a concern or are in a financial crisis, please do NOT be rude to them! We understand and will help you!
