Learn and share the warning signs of youth su***de during ***dePreventionMonth. If someone is showing any of the warning signs, urge them to contact a mental health professional or .

Encourage the person to seek treatment. A suicidal or severely depressed person may not have the energy or motivation to find help. If the person doesn't want to consult a doctor or mental health provider, suggest finding help from a support group, crisis center, faith community, teacher or other trusted person. You can offer support and advice — but remember that it's not your job to substitute for a mental health provider.

Encourage someone with suicidal thoughts to call a su***de hotline number. In the U.S., call or text 988 to reach the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline, or use the Lifeline Chat. Veterans or service members can call 988 and then press "1," or text 838355, or chat online. The Su***de & Crisis Lifeline has a Spanish language phone line at 1-888-628-9454 (toll-free).

There is help available, it can start with you.

Hi There, Tammy Obie, Licensed Professional Counselor here!

Life can feel overwhelming when you're struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you. Reaching out for support takes courage, and my goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can openly explore your experiences and begin moving toward healing and growth.
With over 18 years of experience working with teens and adults, I specialize in treating mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, obsessive-compulsive disorders (OCD), ADHD, personality disorders, substance use disorders, and crisis-related concerns. I also have extensive experience supporting members of the LGBTQ+ community.
Therapy is a collaborative process, and finding the right fit matters. If my approach resonates with you, I encourage you to reach out for a consultation. Together, we can explore what's bringing you to therapy and identify the tools, strengths, and strategies that will help you move forward with greater confidence, balance, and fulfillment.

~ Tammy Obie, LPC

Be open to growth even when it feels uncomfortable. The only way to grow is to work through challenges, sit in discomfort, and be open to making positive changes. You can't change things by staying the same.

Who are you? Asking yourself who you are today and who you want to be tomorrow is a great way to check in on yourself and check on your direction. Are you being true to yourself? Are your actions aligned with your core? Is there anything you would change? Find out who you are and tomorrow, do it on purpose. What will you do?
