We are excited to announce a new therapeutic process group at Zia Healing & Wellness beginning September 16th!

The Family Puzzle: Where Do You Fit? is a 10-week online group created specifically for step parents who may be navigating unclear roles, complicated emotions, shifting family dynamics, or the question of where they fit within the family system.

Throughout the group, participants will have space to explore topics such as finding their role in the family, navigating grief, rejection, and resentment, setting healthy boundaries, improving communication and shared expectations, responding to stress with greater steadiness, and building connection at the pace of trust.

The group will meet online via Zoom for 60-minute sessions from September 16th through November 18th, 2026 and is limited to 6 participants to allow for a more personal and supportive experience.

The cost is $150 for all 10 sessions, and the group is free for Medicaid clients. A brief pre-group screening is required.

The group will be facilitated by Flora Miller, Graduate Student Intern, under the supervision of Adrea Zaleski, MS, LPC, ACS, MFTC.

Brittany has OFFICIALLY graduated from Liberty University with her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling!

We’ve had the privilege of watching Brittany grow throughout her internship at Zia, and we’re incredibly excited that her journey with us isn’t ending with graduation. Brittany will be staying right here at Zia Healing & Wellness as a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC)!

🌿 Please help us welcome Sarah Reitinger to Zia Healing & Wellness! 🌿

Sarah is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student at Adams State University and will be joining our team as a Counseling Intern beginning August 25th!

Before entering the counseling field, Sarah spent 13 years as an integrative educator and instructional coach, bringing a wealth of experience working with children, adolescents, families, and systems.

Sarah’s therapeutic approach is somatic, solution-focused, strength-based, and trauma-informed, with an emphasis on the connection between the mind, body, and nervous system. She also incorporates mindfulness, CBT, and Systems principles into her work.

She especially enjoys supporting children ages 4+, teens, adults, couples, and families, with particular interests in trauma, abuse and relational wounds, life transitions, relationships, and helping clients reconnect with their strengths.

Sarah will begin seeing clients August 25, 2026 and accepts:

We’re excited to welcome Flora Miller, Graduate Counseling Intern, back to Zia Healing & Wellness beginning August 25th! 💛

Flora is completing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adams State University and brings a trauma-informed, relational, and systemic approach to her work with clients.

Flora draws from Narrative Therapy, attachment-based approaches, and family systems theories, helping clients better understand the relationships, experiences, stories, and patterns that have shaped their lives.

Her previous experience working with foster and adoptive families, family preservation, and reunification services has especially shaped her passion for supporting:
