Our classes ask a lot of you... & give a lot back.
Learning to work skillfully with your feet requires a real shift in awareness, sensitivity, & movement strategy. It’s not fast or flashy. It’s tackling practice, curiosity, & willingness to keep refining how you feel, think, & work.
We spend time on anatomy, biomechanics, fascia, & pain science so you understand why techniques work. We don’t just do them for appearance; we understand sustained compression, myofascial strategies, & organization of tissue.
We learn to use pressure, timing, & direction. Expect to leave with clearer clinical reasoning & a deeper appreciation for connective tissue
Our community is supportive, encouraging, and focused on practice.
Our work emphasizes integrity, service, and mindfulness in touch.
Our goal is to help you become a confident, self-sufficient practitioner.
Hope to see you in class soon!

Our December Fundamentals was such a great time!!! These new Barefoot Massage a therapists did AMAZING!!!

In our FasciAshi Fundamentals class we teach you how to use your feet to provide a full body deep tissue, myofascial release and trigger point work focused ashiatsu barefoot massage session. This class focuses on techniques applied on posterior aspects of the client’s body, as your weight and natural gravitational forces are utilized to effortlessly maintain consistent pressure through your feet. While the work is focused primarily with the client prone, therapists will learn supine work as well.

It’s Science 👣
Are your Barefoot Massage sessions as effective as they can be?

In a recent study researchers aimed to evaluate changes in fascial properties over time following myofascial release therapy using ultrasonography.

Participants underwent myofascial release treatment. Ultrasonographic imaging was used to assess fascial thickness and echogenicity before treatment, immediately after, and at follow-up intervals.

Findings:
Immediate Changes: Significant changes in fascial thickness and echogenicity were observed right after treatment, indicating immediate effects of myofascial release.
Long-term Effects: Follow-up assessments showed sustained changes in fascial properties, suggesting that the benefits of myofascial release can persist over time.
Fascial Health: The study highlighted the importance of fascial health in overall musculoskeletal function and pain reduction.

Myofascial release can positively alter fascial properties, leading to improved mobility and reduced discomfort. Being able to use variable and sustained pressure will give your clients better results.

We can show you how!

If you’re not utilizing sidelying work what are you even doing.

Our intermediate ashiatsu barefoot massage class empowers the experienced barefoot massage therapist to work even slower, maintain long sustained pressure holds on trigger points or adhered layers of tissue, and deliver deep myofascial strokes to the anterior and lateral aspects of your client’s body.

Intricate use of the FasciAshi support strap is a BIG focus in this class. This unique addition to the overhead ashiatsu bars allows us to work on variable angles and vectors with consistent, controllable pressure that prevents fatigue for the barefoot massage therapist.
Your next opportunity to level up with FasciAshi Intermediate class in Colorado will be in October.
