**Meet Dr. Barrera! 👋🩵**

We’re excited to welcome another chiropractor to the Springs Chiropractic team!

Originally from Florida, Dr. Barrera made his way to Colorado for the mountains, outdoor adventures, and plenty of opportunities to ski and hike. 🏔️🥾 He also enjoys tennis, padel, and exploring Colorado’s trails.

But what really drives his approach to chiropractic care? **Looking beyond where it hurts.**

Dr. Barrera takes the time to understand how pain is affecting your everyday life—and, most importantly, what you want to get back to doing. From there, he combines hands-on care with movement and rehabilitation to create a plan focused on helping you make lasting progress.

We’re thrilled to have him on the team and look forward to introducing you to Dr. Barrera! 👋

Your hip doesn't work alone. 👀

Hip pain can be connected to your muscles, pelvis, low back, or even the way you move. That's why physical therapy looks beyond the painful spot to understand what's contributing to the problem.

Dr. Kristina Koch combines her extensive orthopedic experience with personalized movement training, strengthening, manual therapy, and other treatment techniques to help patients move better and get back to the activities they enjoy.

Because the goal isn't just a happier hip—it’s a body that moves better. 💪

That nagging pain in the front of your shoulder every time you lift? 👀💪

Bicep tendonitis can make lifting, reaching overhead, and even everyday movements uncomfortable.

Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) uses acoustic waves to stimulate the body's natural healing response and support healthier tendon tissue. 💥

Because your shoulder has better things to do than hurt. 😉

That stubborn muscle knot that just won’t let go? 😣

When muscles stay tight or develop trigger points, they can contribute to pain, stiffness, and restricted movement. Dry needling gives us a way to target those problem areas and help the muscle relax.

The goal isn't just to make the muscle feel better, it’s to help you move better, recover better, and get back to doing what you love. 💪

Sometimes getting a stubborn muscle to let go takes a little more than stretching. 👀

If your IT band seems to have a personal grudge against your workouts… 😅 you’re not alone.

IT band syndrome is a common source of pain for runners, cyclists, and active people. Repetitive movement can irritate the tissues along the outside of the thigh and knee, leading to that familiar ache, tightness, or sharp pain.

The tricky part? Simply stretching it over and over isn't always enough.

Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) uses acoustic waves to target irritated tissues and stimulate the body's natural healing response. It may help improve local circulation, reduce pain, and support healthier tissue repair—making it a useful part of a comprehensive approach to IT band treatment. 💥

Pairing treatment with the right mobility, strengthening, and movement strategies can help address the problem while getting you back to the activities you enjoy.

Because your workout shouldn't end with your IT band winning. 😉

If you know the location of every bathroom everywhere you go… we need to talk. 😂🚽

Constantly feeling like you have to go, making multiple nighttime trips, or suddenly needing to find a bathroom *RIGHT NOW* can be more than inconvenient—it can start affecting sleep, exercise, travel, work, and your social life.

And here's the important part: **you don't necessarily have to just live with it.**

Pelvic floor physical therapy can help identify what's contributing to those symptoms and teach you strategies to improve bladder control and manage urgency. And no, it's not always about doing more Kegels! 👀

Sometimes the pelvic floor needs to get **stronger**. Sometimes it needs to learn how to **relax**. Sometimes it's about coordination, breathing, movement, or bladder habits.

Your bladder shouldn't be making your schedule. 💙

From breaking up kidney stones to helping stubborn injuries heal… talk about a career change. 😂💥

Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) has come a long way. Today, this innovative technology uses targeted acoustic waves to stimulate circulation, encourage tissue repair, and activate the body's natural healing response.

What started in one area of medicine has become a powerful tool for helping people recover from chronic tendon and soft-tissue injuries—without drugs or surgery.

Pretty cool what a sound wave can do. 👀⚡

You don't have to be a professional athlete to train like your body matters. 💪🏃‍♀️

Whether you're chasing a PR, hitting the gym, playing on the weekends, or simply trying to stay active, your body takes a beating. Sports medicine can help you recover from injuries, improve mobility, build strength, and keep doing the activities you love.

Because the goal isn't just to get you back in the game—it's to help keep you there. 🔥

Your pelvic floor does a LOT more than you might think. 👀

These often-overlooked muscles play an important role in bladder and bowel control, pelvic support, core stability, and even how you move.

When those muscles become too weak, too tight, or aren't coordinating properly, they can contribute to pain, leakage, pressure, and other frustrating symptoms.

The good news? Pelvic floor physical therapy can help you understand what's going on and teach your body how to move and function more efficiently. 💙

You don't have to just "live with it."

Every step you take relies on your Achilles tendon. Whether you're running, hiking, playing sports, or simply walking through your day, it's constantly working behind the scenes.

When Achilles tendonitis or tendinosis becomes chronic, the tendon often struggles to heal because of its limited blood supply. That's why symptoms can linger for months if the underlying tissue doesn't fully recover.

Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) helps stimulate circulation, promote collagen production, and activate your body's natural healing response—addressing the source of the problem rather than simply masking the pain. It offers a non-invasive, drug-free option for many people dealing with stubborn Achilles pain.

Don't let Achilles pain keep you on the sidelines. If you've been dealing with persistent pain or stiffness, we'd love to help you get moving comfortably again. 💙
