Some souls enter your life and, before you know it, you can’t imagine your world without them. Benny, you became family just as quickly as you became a part of our community. 💛

You brought structure to our wild, free-flowing ideas, a depth of wisdom that continues to inspire us, and a level of musical genius that we’re still trying to wrap our heads around. 😂🎶

But beyond your incredible gifts, it’s the human behind them that we cherish most.

Your presence alone has a way of shifting a room. You lead with heart, create with intention, and embody a beautiful expression of the divine masculine. Through your music, your wisdom, and simply the way you show up for others, you continue to elevate the people and spaces around you.

Thank you for always going above and beyond. For pouring your heart into this community, for sharing your gifts so generously, and for being such an extraordinary part of our family.

The world is a little brighter, a little wiser, and a whole lot more musical with you in it.

Some are tiny, some towering.
Some brown and earthy, others bright blue, red, orange, or gold. Some grow alone, some in clusters.
On the surface, they could not look more different.

And yet beneath it all, there is connection.

The forest reminds us how easy it is to see separation when we’re only looking at what exists above the surface. We do the same with one another, different bodies, backgrounds, stories, beliefs, ways of moving through this world.

But look a little deeper.

Life is built through relationship. Through exchange. Through networks of support we may not always be able to see. What appears separate above ground can still belong to something much larger underneath.

Nature has a funny way of teaching the same lesson over and over again:
difference does not mean disconnection.

So much gratitude for this season of mushroom hunting, for every little being that chose to reveal itself, for the lessons hidden along the forest floor, and yes… for some of the yumminess too. 😂🍄

May we keep remembering to look beneath the surface

There is something powerful about honoring where we come from while embracing the tools of where we are now. 🌈

The Rainbow Prophecy has been shared in many forms, carrying a vision of people coming together across cultures to remember our relationship with the Earth and bring ancient wisdom forward into a changing world.

Ayahuasca carries us into the natural world, into rhythm, voice, breath, prayer, plants and the ancient relationship between humans and sound.

And yet, here we are in a world surrounded by technology.

What if the two don’t have to be separate?

Technology gives music an entirely new landscape for intentionality. Sounds can be recorded, layered, looped and woven together in real time, while the person creating them is still listening deeply to the room.

That is exactly what Benny brought to our recent Aya ceremony.

He found a way to infuse what he loves into the medicine space without losing the rawness of live music. He feels into the room. He recognizes the energy moving through it. He follows his intuition on where participants may need to be carried next, and builds from there.

Layer by layer. Sound by sound. Intention by intention.

Ancient roots meeting modern tools.

Not music simply playing in the background, but music being created in relationship with the moment.

Live medicine. 🎶🌿🌈

This weekend, Ahavah’s Dance Ministry, the Kasima Belly Dancing Troupe, was blessed with two opportunities to move for something bigger than ourselves.

On Saturday, we danced our hearts out at the SOCO Recovery Rally, celebrating recovery, resilience, and a community that continues to remind us just how powerful it is to choose life, connection, and one another. Recovery is deeply woven into the heart of Ahavah, making this one especially meaningful to us.

Then on Sunday, we brought the movement to Manitou’s Altitude Market, where we had the opportunity to raise awareness and support for our sweet community partner Nita Dog Heaven LLC | Animal Sanctuary and her fundraiser following her recent cancer diagnosis. 🫶🏽

This is what heart work looks like to us.

Sometimes it’s holding sacred space. Sometimes it’s showing up for someone who needs their village. And sometimes… it’s putting on the hip scarves and dancing our hearts out. 💃🏽✨

We’re grateful for every opportunity to use movement to connect, celebrate, support, and serve our community.

This is ministry in motion. 🤍

Sacred space isn’t only created by the medicine, the altar, or the ceremony.

It’s created by the way we hold one another. 🤍

A hand reaching out. An embrace when words aren’t needed. Someone sitting beside you while you move through something tender. The quiet reminder that you don’t have to navigate the experience alone.

Sometimes support even comes with four paws and a perfectly timed visit from Ludo. 🐾

There is something deeply powerful about being witnessed without needing to be fixed, simply supported, protected, and given the space to unfold.

This is what community in sacred space means to us.

A little Labor Day reminder 🌿

We spend so much of our lives doing,
working, planning, creating, building, moving on to whatever comes next.

But we are human beings, not human doings.

So today, slow down enough to notice what’s already around you.
The clouds moving overhead.
A rainbow after the rain.
Mushrooms pushing through the earth.
The leaves beginning to change.
That imaginary little crispness in the Colorado air. 😂🍂

There is so much beauty happening around us all the time, and we don’t have to accomplish anything to be worthy of experiencing it.

Today, just be. 🌈🍄🌿

Today is a proud day for Ahavah. 💚🐸

Jen & Bianca — our very first Kambo Ministers trained right here at the sanctuary, are officially taking the wheel and leading their Kambo ceremony.

There is something incredibly special about watching the women you trained step forward with confidence, integrity, and trust in everything they’ve learned.

These two answered the call. They showed up for the work. They rose to the challenges that come with choosing a path of service and becoming someone others can trust to hold them through vulnerable and powerful moments.

And today, we get to step back and watch them lead. 🥹

We are so unbelievably proud of these warrior women and the healers they are becoming.

May this be the first of many ceremonies held by your hands and hearts. 💚🐸
