When is shoulder pain more than something you should just rest?

Dr. Redfern explains that if shoulder pain is limiting your movement, interfering with everyday activities, or simply isn’t getting better, it may be time to have it evaluated by a specialist.

Treatment doesn’t always mean surgery. Depending on the cause, physical therapy may be enough to restore motion and strength, while some patients may need additional imaging or further treatment.
