COVID-19 OFFICE POLICY:
ELITE VISION and Elite Hearing recognize our first priority is serving our patients and community. We will continue to employ best clinical practices and identified by the CDC
and the WHO to ensure the health and wellness of our patients and staff.
It’s important to keep in mind that the majority of COVID-19 cases are mild and only a small percentage of patients will require hospitalization. Currently, care for COVID-19
patients is supportive as there are no medications available to treat this disease.
The CDC recommends these everyday actions to help prevent the spread of COVID-19:
• Wash your hands often with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60 percent alcohol.
• Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough, or sneeze, then throw the tissue in the trash. Then wash your hands with soap and water.
• Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
The best way to prevent the spread of respiratory viruses is to:
• Avoid close contact with people who are sick
• Avoid touching your eyes or nose with unwashed hands
• Stay home and do not travel when you are sick
We ask that all our patients please reschedule their appointment if they are sick, coughing, or demonstrating any signs of the coronavirus illness. If you are experiencing
an eye emergency and are sick, we ask that you wear a respiratory mask and alert us to enable our staff to ensure that other patients are not exposed to unnecessary risk.
We are temporarily a “no handshake” environment for the safety of our patients and staff.
Thank you for your cooperation in assisting us to employ best practices to decrease the significance of this pandemic and minimize the impact of this virus on our community.
Sincerely,
ELITE VISION and Elite Hearing of Colorado Springs
