The art of yin yoga is energetically lunar. 🌕

It’s soft. Gives reflection. Sheds a subtle light that illuminates shadow. Gentle yet confronting.

It doesn’t ask you to do more. To be urgent. To force.

Instead it asks you, what is just enough?

This nourishing practice gives yang style practices like vinyasa, hot yoga, and yoga sculpt balance. To slow down, get quiet, and observe. Physically this practice promotes length in the muscles with supportive, longer holds in stretched positions. Perfect for students with an active lifestyle in need of more flexibility. Mentally and spiritually this practice offers an opportunity for reflection and release from the constant demands of life, the need to constantly be doing more, and nourishment for the energy body. Perfect for students who are overwhelmed, busy, and need of quiet time with their body.

Our 25 hour yin yoga training (with a bonus of advanced lower body anatomy) begins next weekend, August 28-30th led by studio owner and lead teacher trainer Sarah Spence and yin trainer Rachael Bowden. Hours for the training are Friday 5pm-9pm, Saturday 8am-8pm, Sunday 8am-5pm. Training cost is $450.

Training is open for yoga teachers looking to elevate their credentials or inspired yoga students. This training can be used as continuing education through Yoga Alliance or towards a 300 hour certification through Hot Asana Yoga University.

Join Sarah Spence and Julie Myers for seven nights and eight days in beautiful Koh Samui, an island located off the east coast of Thailand that packs powdery white shorelines, warm turquoise waters, and sunny skies. Hosted by Vikasa Yoga Resort, we will experience immaculate cliffside ocean views, a private beach, and immersive jungle throughout our stay. While we’ll be tucked away on a quiet area of the island, popular places to explore such as Chaweng Noi and Lamei Beach are nearby so you can have the best of both worlds and get the most out of your stay!

Together we will enjoy daily yoga classes and meditation led by Sarah and Julie with blends of vinyasa, hatha, yin, restorative, and more all held in our ocean view shala. Experience a hike to a waterfall for an invigorating swim, a luxurious sunset boat cruise, and opportunities to explore the island and experience traditional Thai culture. Three daily meals are included in your stay, all organic and locally sourced and served up with panoramic ocean view’s from the world class Life Cafe. Join Sammy Conrad, Full spectrum doula, E-RYT 200HR yoga instructor & Holistic Nutrition Consultant who specializes in movement for the female body & supporting women through fertility, pregnancy & postpartum.

This circle will begin with a 60 minute movement session with the intention of feeling comfortable in your pregnant body and making space for your baby. Sammy believes that the birth process works as well as tissues can yield in our unique female anatomy, and yoga has the potential to greatly support, or in some cases, hinder that. The remaining time will be used seated in circle sharing, holding space, and forming community.
