Dedicated to optimizing outcomes for patients throughout Colorado Springs, Dr. Sato upholds the clinic’s tradition of excellence while incorporating innovative techniques and perspectives.

Originally from Oahu, Hawaii, Dr. Sato earned his Bachelor of Science in Physiology from Seattle Pacific University before completing his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. A bony bump at the back of your heel that aches and rubs against every pair of shoes you own points to Haglund’s deformity. You’ve likely already padded it, switched shoes, and avoided the styles that flare it up.

When those steps stop working, and especially when the Achilles tendon itself has taken on damage, surgery becomes the next option. The SpeedBridge™ technique repairs the tendon once a surgeon removes the bony prominence, and it does so with a design built to hold securely while you heal.

At Foot and Ankle Institute of Colorado in Colorado Springs, Colorado, podiatrists Matthew Hinderland, DPM, Jordan Cameron, DPM, Trevor Whiting, DPM, and Shane Soto, DPM, treat Haglund’s deformity and perform SpeedBridge repair when surgery is the right path forward.

Dr. Trevor Whiting, DPM has been with our office since 2023! Dr. Whiting is a board-certified podiatrist. He brings with him the knowledge and skills of over a decade of patient care providing the experience needed to efficiently treat any ankle or foot issue that comes into his care. He loves finding and implementing conservative treatment options, but when those aren’t sufficient, he is certified to help in the most effective surgical manner possible. One of Dr. Whiting’s favorite parts of being a podiatrist is that the patients often leave the first visit feeling better than when they came into clinic.

He loves sharing his repertoire of Dad jokes (courtesy laughs are appreciated) and helping his patients feel at ease with his kind and patient bedside manner. When not treating patients, you can find Dr. Whiting spending time with family hiking, biking and partaking of the amazing outdoor life in Colorado.
