Miller County Hospital is a 25 bed, critical access not-for-profit hospital was named "The Hospital of the Year" in 2000 by Home Town Health.

From specialty clinics and primary care to inpatient services and long-term ventilator care, the Hospital Authority of Miller County delivers trusted, patient-centered care to Colquitt, GA and surrounding communities. Miller County Hospital’s swing bed program allows qualifying patients to transition from acute hospital care to short-term rehabilitation, all within the same familiar facility. That means continued skilled nursing care, physical and occupational therapy, and a team that already knows you, without the disruption of moving to an unfamiliar place.

HAMC welcomed the Pathway into Healthcare students to campus this week!

These students spent the past three days completing orientation, team-building activities, and professionalism training. Over the next five weeks, they will rotate through clinical departments, gaining valuable hands-on exposure to healthcare careers.

We look forward to supporting these future healthcare professionals as they learn and grow.

We were honored to welcome students from the Southwest Georgia AHEC Pathway to Med School program to our campus this week! These students had the opportunity to tour our facilities and meet with providers and leaders to learn more about the importance of healthcare in a rural community.

Programs like Pathway to Med School play an important role in inspiring future healthcare professionals to return to their hometowns and rural areas to provide high-quality, compassionate care where it is needed most.
