Happy Saturday 💪

Today’s cardio session felt SO good.

6-minute intervals on the rower
+
6-minute EMOMs with isometric holds to work with my shoulder and sore glute while still getting a solid training session in.

This was perfect!
Heart rate up, muscles working, low impact, and still challenging in all the right ways.

Nothing fancy but still effective!

Our guys are hardworking men who don’t need another extreme fitness program.

No yelling.
No six-pack marketing.
No ego.

Just support, structure, and people in your corner.
We’re older now. We want workouts that challenge us without beating us up. We want to get stronger while working around cranky knees, elbows, shoulders, old injuries, and long workdays.

This program is small-group personal training designed for real life:
✔ Slower-paced, joint-friendly training
✔ Strength, conditioning, and mobility
✔ Exercise modifications when needed
✔ Coaching from a trainer who understands aging bodies

And yes… we still want to look good. 👊

This is not a quick-fix program.
It’s a long-haul approach to help men stay strong, capable, confident, and active for years to come.

And honestly?

We like the name. It tends to attract good guys who want to work hard without all the posturing.

Give it a few months, and you’ll probably be saying

I hit the pause button on my prep.

The MRI report made the decision easy—
👉 torn rotator cuff.

And this was the last straw. My hormones are off My body wasn't responding the way it needs to.. Continuing without being able to give my full effort didn't make sense.

At this stage in my life, I am not interested in forcing something that my body was clearly pushing back on.

So here is where I'm at:

✅️ I'm going to heal.
✅️ I'm going ro simplify
✅️ I'm going to keep training

My PTs have said that strength training is the cure for my injury! I was so happy to hear that.

Not starting over.... Just adjusting.

This is what I talk to you guys about all the time.
Life changes
Bodies change
Plans have to change too

That doesn't mean we stop.
It just means we get honest and move forward differently.

I will share what this looks like as I go.

And if you are in a place where something feels off- training, nutrition, anything!

Take this as your reminder:
👉 you don't have to push through everything
👉 you don't have to quit either

And she’s down… because she didn’t quit.

The gym teaches you something most people avoid: how to sit under pressure.

When your heart rate spikes.
When the weight feels heavy.
When your body says, “stop.”

That’s the moment.

Not to quit…
but to adjust.

I slow down, breathe.
Sometimes I sit… sometimes I lay right here on the floor.

Sometimes I try to distract my trainer with a story so I can buy a few extra seconds before the next set 😅

But I don’t leave.

Because this is where it happens.

We’re not just lifting weights in here.
we’re training our response to stress.

And over time, something shifts
you don’t panic as fast
you recover quicker
you stay in it longer

Pressure stops feeling like a threat
and starts feeling like a privilege.

What a gift it is to have a body that can be pushed.
To find out what you’re capable of.
To go a little further than you thought you could.

Health is not guaranteed.
This? This is a blessing.❤️

Today was my first posing session of this prep.
Which meant… I had to put on the bathing suit.

I’m currently 5' 9" and 150lbs, and standing in front of the mirror this morning felt very different than it did a year ago.

For a long time, I struggled to look at my legs. At some point in my life someone told me my legs “weren’t good,” and from that day on I covered them up. Shorts? Rare. Bathing suits? Avoided. Funny how a single comment can stick with you for decades.

But today something shifted.

This is my second prep with Michele, and when I pulled off my sweats this morning… I actually liked what I saw. I will be 54 this year!

Have the last few months been perfect? Not even close. I’ve been dealing with nagging injuries, modified workouts, and plenty of days where things felt slower than I wanted. But I kept showing up.

And the result is a body I’m proud of.

Not perfect.
But strong.
Resilient.
Mine.

We’re 14 weeks out, and today was pose session #1.

What surprised me the most is this:
Going through these preps isn’t just changing my body… it’s helping me love the one I have at every phase 💖

Traveling to Maine and the snacks are locked in.

I always scope out two things when I land:
✔️ A Whole Foods
✔️ A local gym

Protein? Covered.
Fiber? Packed.
Plan? Intact.

Structure gives me freedom.
Now I can relax, explore, and actually enjoy the trip — because I’m not winging it.

Ready for a great time. 🌊🏋️‍♀️

As we move into the new year, the pressure to reinvent ourselves is louder than ever.

My algorithm is flooded with weight-loss peptides, GLP-1 shots, and endless images of ever-shrinking bodies.

The message is subtle… and relentless:
✅️ Smaller is better.
✅️ Less is healthier.
✅️ Disappearing is success.

And I need to say this out loud — especially for women:
🔸️You do not need to shrink to be worthy.
🔸️You do not need to numb hunger to prove. discipline.
🔸️You do not need to erase your strength to fit a trend.

My body doesn’t match the current algorithm.
It’s strong. It’s fed. It’s built.
And it supports my life — not just my reflection.

I’m not here to judge anyone’s medical choices.
But I am here to remind women that we don’t have to fall prey to the noise that tells us our value is tied to how small we can make ourselves.

As we enter 2026, I’m choosing:
💚 Living, not shrinking
💚 Fueling, not silencing hunger
💚 Strength, not disappearance
💚 Health that includes mental, physical, and spiritual well-being

Trends change.
Your body has to last.

You are allowed to take up space.
You are allowed to be strong.
You are allowed to choose a different path. 💚
