Please join us on August 20th from 6:30-8:00pm for a community-wide discussion on Safety & The Disability Community in Howard County. It will be held at the East Columbia 50+ Senior Center. It is open to all members of the community. The feedback will help inform the work of the Howard County Task Force that was created to delve into what we must do to create an accepting, safe, civil, and understanding first responder system, following the tragic death of Alex Lamorie.

The meeting is co-sponsored by the Autism Society of Maryland and Accessible Resources for Independence. Facilitation will be by Mediation and Conflict Resolution Center. Funding is provided through a grant from the Ethan Saylor Alliance (Maryland Department of Disabilities)

What an incredible night! 🏊‍♂️🍕

A huge thank you to the over 150 guests who came out to make our pool party such a blast last night! We loved seeing everyone splashing around, enjoying hot pizza, and connecting as a community.

A special thank you to the Howard County police officers who joined in on the fun and helped us share vital resources, including water safety tips and wandering prevention bags. Keeping our community safe and supported is always a top priority!

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this event so memorable. We can't wait for the next one!

What a wonderful welcome from everyone at Linwood Center in Ellicott City yesterday for a tour of their new greenhouse and garden! The space is blossoming with fresh veggies, beautiful flowers, and a welcoming outdoor space for staff and students. Congratulations to Executive Director Michelle Kilkenney and her staff on this addition to their programming!

Though the skies were a bit smoky on Friday, farm operations continue at Mary's Land Farm.

Located in Howard County, Mary’s Land Farm is a locally owned and operated farm with a mission to cultivate connection between people, animals, and the land through regenerative farming practices.

Katie and Sarah work to assist with cleaning and packaging eggs from the farm’s 400+ chickens. Their teamwork and attention to detail help ensure that customers receive high quality farm fresh eggs while supporting the farm's commitment to community, sustainability, and inclusion.
