Do you experience shoulder pain? Are you unable to pinpoint why?
We regularly talk to people who say the pain seemed to appear "out of nowhere". One day they were carrying groceries or lifting a bag, and the next day their shoulder felt tight, weak, or painful when reaching overhead. What makes shoulder pain annoying is it interferes with many aspects of daily life.
When you carry heavy objects, such as groceries or bags or children, the shoulder muscles work harder to stabilize the joint. Over time, if the muscles are weak, this will cause the joint to move inefficiently and cause irritation. Most people choose rest to fix this problem. While rest can provide temporary relief, it lacks the long term solution.
At 33/18 Chiropractic, we focus on providing proper movement and strength. We also make sure the shoulder joint is moving properly with the neck, upper back and shoulder blade. When the spine and surrounding joints move more freely, the shoulder often experiences less strain during lifting and reaching.
