Twenty-five years ago today.
We pause to remember the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, and the families who have carried that loss every day since.
We also remember the firefighters, police officers, paramedics, and EMTs who moved toward the towers while everyone else moved away, along with the doctors, nurses, and volunteers who worked the days and months that followed. Many of them have carried that day with them ever since.
Twenty-five years later, we remember all of them.
