💙 Neuro Rehab in Action: PT + OT Working Together!

Meagan and Kirstie are teaming up to challenge postural control, balance, strength, and coordination through a tall-kneeling activity. 💪

By adding resistance and a cognitive challenge, they’re helping build the skills needed for functional mobility, safe floor transfers, and greater independence in everyday activities. 🧠

👩‍🎓 Veronica Graduated from Speech Therapy!

🗣️ When Veronica first started therapy, changes in her voice made it difficult to talk for extended periods and even kept her from teaching Sunday school and singing at church.

🤗 Through therapy and consistent practice at home, Veronica has made great progress in improving her vocal strength, clarity, and control. She has worked hard to learn and apply strategies to support her voice during everyday conversations and activities. We are so proud of her progress and all of the hard work she has put in along the way!

🧠💪 Stroke Recovery: Every Movement Has a Purpose!

What may look like a simple movement is actually challenging multiple muscle groups and coordination while helping the brain and body relearn functional movement patterns!

👩‍⚕️ What’s happening in this video?

Meagan is facilitating controlled rolling while encouraging weight bearing through the patient’s affected side. Kirstie is providing additional assistance by allowing him to pull with his stronger, unaffected arm to help complete the movement.

🎯 What are we working on?

✅ Core strength and stability
✅ Weight bearing through the affected side
✅ Trunk rotation and motor control
✅ Functional bed mobility and floor transfers

🧠 Why does this matter after a stroke?

Through repetitive, purposeful practice, we can help promote neuroplasticity—the brain’s ability to adapt and reorganize as it relearns movement.

👨‍🎓 Anakin graduated from speech therapy!

🗣️ When Anakin first started therapy, his family was concerned that he used only a few words to communicate.

🤗 Since then, Anakin has made tremendous progress! He is now using more words and sentences to express what he wants and needs, answering questions, and communicating more confidently with others. We are so proud of how far he has come!
