We celebrated National Senior Citizens Day for two days; guess you can say when we celebrate our residents, we celebrate them in style! The staff at Tyrrell House are deeply honored and blessed to be able to work with such sweet residents every day!

Yesterday, we hosted Ms. Shenita and her crew from the Tyrrell County Senior Adult Activity Center! We played a variety of games, socialized and ate lunch together!

Today, we continued our celebration with each resident receiving a personalized National Senior Citizens Day certificate!

We also served the residents with cupcakes (donated by Food Lion - THANK YOU) and ice cream in honor of our August birthday residents!

Few things are as heartwarming as seeing puppies bring smiles to our residents and then peacefully drift off to sleep in their arms after playing! Their wagging tails, curious personalities and endless affection created joyful moments that brightened everyone's day. Many heartfelt thanks to the Bateman family for sharing their puppies with us!
