Bringing wellness directly to the workplace!

Boone Health Community Wellness and Lab Services have been busy supporting local employees. They recently provided skin cancer checks and flu shots at North Callaway School District’s first annual Employee Benefits Fair, as well as lab draws and flu shots at Boone Electric’s annual employee event.

Boone Health EMS visited a Troop 121 Scout meeting to teach scouts about first aid and emergency response. They explained what EMS professionals do when arriving at an emergency scene and how those same principles can be applied to injuries that may occur during campouts or other outdoor adventures.

Scouts also had the opportunity to tour an ambulance, learn about the equipment and tools EMS professionals carry, and discover how each is used to provide emergency care. It was a great hands-on learning experience that helped scouts build valuable first-aid knowledge and outdoor safety skills!

Boone Health partnered with Stephens College for a Health and Wellness Resource Day focused on supporting the health and well-being of faculty, staff, and students. Community Wellness provided flu vaccinations for faculty and staff with the help of Stephens College nursing students, while Breast Care and Physical Therapy shared health education and resources.
