🇺🇸 Holiday Office Closure Notice 🇺🇸

South Carolina Center for Integrative Medicine will be closed on Friday, July 3 in observance of the Fourth of July.

As we celebrate the birth of our nation, we are reminded of the freedom and independence that shaped the beginning of the United States.

We are especially grateful to live in a country where medical freedom is still possible — where we are able to practice holistic, patient-centered care and support families with options that align with their values and beliefs.

We are thankful for the privilege of serving our community in this way and wish you and your family a safe and meaningful holiday weekend. ❤️🤍💙

There’s something so sweet about a slower, simpler summer.

More sunshine. More fresh food. More time outside. More barefoot afternoons, homemade snacks, farmers market hauls, and rhythms that feel a little gentler on the body and the nervous system.

Maybe a “90s summer” is not really about going backward. Maybe it is about returning to some of the things that grounded us all along — less noise, less rushing, more fresh air, more presence, and a more natural way of living.

We’re so grateful for opportunities that allow our team to keep learning and growing. Our pediatric providers are currently attending the MAPS Conference, an educational conference for medical professionals centered on integrative pediatrics and the care of children with complex chronic conditions. The MAPS program has expanded over time to include topics such as ADHD, neurodevelopmental concerns, asthma, autoimmunity, gut issues, immune dysfunction, and other chronic pediatric health challenges.

A special highlight of the conference was the chance to meet Dr. Elisa Song and spend time speaking with her in person. She is among the featured speakers for the conference, making it an especially meaningful experience for our team.

We care deeply about bringing our patients care that is both compassionate and continually informed by ongoing education. It is a privilege to pour into this kind of learning, and an even greater honor to bring it back home to the children and families we serve. 💙

✨ One Week in Our New Home! ✨

We’ve officially wrapped up our first week in our newly renovated space, and our hearts are full of gratitude. What an incredible start it has been!

Welcoming our members and patients into our new home at 234 Outlet Pointe Blvd this week has been such a joy. Seeing familiar faces walk through the doors, experiencing treatments in the new space, and continuing the work we love in a place designed for healing and wellness has made all of the hard work leading up to this move so worthwhile.

We are deeply thankful for the encouragement, patience, and support from our amazing community throughout this transition. Your trust in our practice means everything to us.

As we settle in, we are filled with excitement and expectation for what lies ahead. This new space allows us to continue growing, serving our members well, and expanding the ways we support your health and wellness journey.

Today we’re celebrating Kim Shirk, —the founder and incredible leader of South Carolina Center for Integrative Medicine.

Kim built SCCIM from the ground up with one clear mission: to help people heal through thoughtful, root-cause care. She continues to pour her time, energy, and resources into growing this practice—not for growth’s sake, but so we can serve our members with excellence and continue raising the standard of integrative care in our community.

Her leadership is marked by tireless dedication, a deep love for patients, and a commitment to providing the absolute best care possible. We are continually grateful for the way she’s taken her God-given gifts and used them to impact and heal so many lives.
