✨BIG WIN WEDNESDAY✨
Can we take the time to realize how BIG this is!!!! Continuing to PUSH the Mama's First Act and similar bills like it will allow Medicaid (and possibly other medical insurance companies) to cover the costs of doula and midwife care and support.
What does this mean? It MEANS that if the bill is passed women and families in under-served/resourced communities before, during, and after pregnancy will have ACCESS to evidence based care and support. THIS IS HUGE ladies and gentlemen!!!!
The Mamas First Act, introduced by Sen. Elizabeth Warren and Rep. Gwen Moore, would make the pregnancy and postpartum services from doulas and midwives reimbursable in an effort to improve access to care.
