Student Spotlight: FNCE Bound! 🎉

We’re excited to highlight one of our dietetic interns, Mary, who has been selected as a Student Host at FNCE® this year!

After attending FNCE in Nashville last year and enjoying the networking opportunities and educational sessions, she decided to apply for the Student Host program and was accepted!

As a Student Host, she will volunteer her time during the conference while gaining an even deeper behind-the-scenes experience. An added bonus? A significantly discounted registration fee!

Our dietetic interns had fun with their Theme Day projects and took it to the next level with creative menus, colorful displays, and memorable experiences!
This project gives our interns hands-on experience with menu planning, marketing, operations, and teamwork while creating something fun for guests!

✨ Alumni Spotlight: Kristina Suarez

From dietetic intern to internship leader, Kristina's journey is a true full-circle moment.

Kristina completed her internship with Morrison in Port Charlotte, Florida, at what is now AdventHealth Port Charlotte, and was hired as a Clinical Dietitian upon completing the program. After several years in practice, she returned home to Texas and worked as a Travel Dietitian with Morrison, supporting the CHRISTUS Health system across Texas, New Mexico, and Louisiana.

In October 2025, Kristina joined the Morrison Dietetic Internship Team, where she now helps guide the next generation of registered dietitians.

💬 "I love that I've come full circle and can now support dietetic interns in the program I completed myself! I have a passion for teaching and education and take pride in being a resource for emerging dietitians as they transition into their careers. Our interns today are our peers tomorrow!"

We love seeing our Morrison Healthcare Dietetic Internship students bring nutrition education to life!

Last week, Anita Chan hosted a Wellness Table during breakfast service featuring overnight oats topped with kiwi, strawberries, and nuts. 🥝🍓🥜 Anita shared nutrition education on fiber, fruits, and healthy fats while showing guests just how simple a balanced, nutritious breakfast can be.

🌟 PRECEPTOR SPOTLIGHT🌟
Today we’re excited to recognize Phyllis Wester, one of our incredible Morrison Healthcare Dietetic Internship preceptors! 💚

Phyllis is a tremendous advocate for our internship program and has seen firsthand the impact it can have on both aspiring dietitians and our Morrison teams. In fact, she has hired her last two interns and is currently mentoring our intern, Janine! {Pictured here with Phyllis} 📸

In Phyllis’s words:
“Having the opportunity to mentor and work with Kristina, Kaylee, and now Janine has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my career. Watching them grow in confidence, develop their expertise, and ultimately become valued members of our organization reinforces why I believe so strongly in this program.”

Phyllis also shared that working alongside interns brings “fresh perspectives, new ideas, and a renewed appreciation for the work we do every day.” She believes the experience creates valuable learning opportunities not only for the intern, but for the entire management team.

Most importantly, Phyllis sees precepting as an investment in the future:
