Miriam has landed a job as a Clinical Dietitian at HCA Healthcare Tomball!

When asked about her internship experience, Miriam says “What a journey it has been! After leaving my corporate life to become a stay-at-home mom, I chose to follow my passion for nutrition. Today, I’m proud to finally call myself a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)!

Please join us in welcoming Kallan to the Morrison Healthcare Dietetic Internship Team! 👏🏻

Kallan Prost is a Registered Dietitian with a background in clinical nutrition, working over 5 years for TouchPoint Support Services as a Specialist Dietitian and Lead Dietitian, with expertise in surgical critical care, burn and trauma nutrition. Kallan earned her B.S. in Dietetics from Lipscomb University, completed her dietetic internship with Morrison Healthcare, and received her M.S. in Human Nutrition from the University of Alabama. She has experience in advancing patient care through leading quality improvement projects, serving on clinical committees, and providing nutrition education to fellow RDs, dietetic interns and other healthcare professionals. She is passionate about mentoring future dietitians and creating meaningful learning experiences that help interns build confidence, strengthen clinical skills, and successfully transition into professional practice. Outside of work, Kallan enjoys working on DIY projects in her home in Indianapolis, spending time with her family at the lake in Michigan, and exploring the outdoors with her husband.

Please join us in welcoming Jessica to the Morrison Healthcare Dietetic Internship Team! 👏🏻

Jessica Irgens is a Registered Dietitian with more than 16 years of experience in Arkansas and Illinois, spanning acute care, sports nutrition, oncology, education, private practice, and clinical leadership. Jessica earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Arkansas and her master’s degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She has held leadership roles across multiple health systems, leading clinical nutrition teams, mentoring dietitians and interns, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient care. Her goal is to inspire confident, inspirational, and compassionate dietitians who are prepared to lead the future of the profession. Outside of work, Jessica enjoys working on her cookbook, traveling with her husband and two children, playing tennis, and competing in Music League with friends.

When asked about her internship experience, Emily said “Thanks to both Morrison Healthcare and MUSC Health, I was gifted the unique experience to rotate with a pediatric emphasis in which I learned an abundance of information regarding such a specific and specialized patient population. This experience was absolutely unforgettable, and I could not feel more prepared to soon enter the field of pediatric nutrition as a Registered Dietitian!”

Emily has since landed a job as an outpatient pediatric dietitian at Prisma Children’s Hospital in Columbia, SC!

Lindsey has landed a job as a clinical dietitian at Emory Decatur Hospital in Georgia!    
 
When asked about her internship experience, Lindsey says “I was very nervous to become a Dietetic Intern and MHC DI made it so easy to learn and grow as a student in Nutrition. I experienced so much in my 9 months of rotations and felt so supported the entire time. I am so grateful to everyone involved for preparing me to become a Registered Dietitian!”
