Thursday was my last day at my job of almost 4 years working as a pelvic/orthopedic PT for University of Missouri Health Care. Tuesday I start my new job at a small private clinic called Revive Rehab- where I’ll be doing the same work- just in a different setting with more opportunities to do what I love and in more ways- all under one roof. I’ll be working with my amazing friend 😊. Here is a compilation of some of the biggest days there that represents the joys and the sorrows: my daily spaces and views, 9 months pregnant with Lucy, crying during a hard day with PPD, and Elayna visiting mommy’s work.
As I drove away from the Mizzou clinic on Thursday it felt so surreal, and I thought back through all that had happened there: all the ways I grew, the opportunities, the stress, the successes, friendships, and wonderful patients and coworkers who I learned so much from. While working there my personal life changed with the additions of two wonderful children. Professionally, I had the opportunity to complete all the pelvic health core courses through Herman and Wallace, taught a CEU course on yoga, learned dry needling, and spent countless hours with some fairly complex patients who I adored. This place held me through COVID times, postpartum depression, healing, happiness, stress, tears, and joys. It was hard to say goodbye but I’m thankful for the fond farewell. More to come on my new job soon. 💕
