𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗮𝘆! 𝗪𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟴𝘁𝗵.

The first Labor Day was held on Tuesday, September 5th, 1882, and Labor Day was officially signed into law on June 28th, 1894. This day honors the contributions and achievements of all who work across America today.

With this in mind, Advanced Radiology would like to thank all of our staff for their hard work and dedication, and to thank all of you for the amazing effort you put in every day to serve our community and make the dream of a brighter tomorrow possible.

📢 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘁!

Meet 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻, one of our 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗥𝗜/𝗖𝗧 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀! Morgan earned her Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Science from Avila University, where she also played college softball. Morgan got into radiology because she loves being able to help reach a diagnosis while being a calming presence for patients during what can be a stressful moment.

Outside of work, you'll find Morgan spending time with family and friends, soaking up the outdoors, working out, or playing pickleball and slow-pitch softball.

𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗲 + 𝗔 𝗙𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹!

Today's a bit bittersweet for us — we're excited to welcome a new team member while also saying goodbye to one of our own!

𝗧𝗮𝘆𝗹𝗼𝗿 (Left) is a 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗿 and graduate of State Fair Community College's DMS program. She's always known ultrasound was her path. She loves the mix of medical imaging, critical thinking, and patient care it offers, and is excited to keep building her skills at Advanced Radiology. She's already proven to be a wonderful addition to our team, always smiling and ready to jump in and help her patients feel comfortable. Outside of work, you'll find her behind a camera, spending time with friends and family, exploring the outdoors, or trying out new restaurants.

𝗟𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮 (Right) has been a 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗿 with us, studying Health Science with an emphasis in Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound. Her passion for the field started back in high school when she shadowed a sonographer, and she's spent her time with us turning that early spark into real skill. Fun fact: she played lacrosse for four years at Mizzou!

Today is Laila's last day with Advanced Radiology, and while we're sad to see her go, we couldn't be prouder of the growth we've watched in her. She's headed off on her next adventure, and we know she'll carry the experience and knowledge she gained here with her wherever she goes. We can't wait to see the great things she does in radiology!

🩺 𝗜𝘁'𝘀 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 (𝗔𝘂𝗴 𝟮–𝟴)!

This week is all about celebrating Community Health Centers- the clinics that make sure people get quality primary, dental, and behavioral health care no matter their ability to pay. Right here in Missouri, that's almost 645,000 patients served every year across 400+ sites.

We're proud to partner with the Community Health Centers in our area. When their providers need a closer look, like an X-ray, an MRI, or an ultrasound, they send their patients to us. We do the imaging, and our findings go straight back to their care team so they can pinpoint what's wrong and get the right treatment started. It's a small but important piece of the puzzle in making sure underserved communities get the affordable, complete care they deserve.

And honestly, this week has us thinking about all our partners: the urgent cares, cardiology, neurology, GI, urology, ortho practices, and more that we work with every day. Thank you for the hard work you put in for our shared patients. We're grateful to be part of your team. 💜

On July 21, 1955, Professor Ian Donald conducted an experiment in Renfrew, Scotland, that would change medicine forever by testing whether sound waves could tell the difference between tissue types. That work eventually led to the Diasonograph, the world's first ultrasound machine, and reshaped how we see inside the human body.

71 years later, ultrasound remains one of the safest, most valuable tools in modern imaging, helping monitor pregnancies, diagnose conditions, and guide countless medical decisions without a single dose of radiation.
