Memorial Day is more than a long weekend. It's a day set aside to honor the men and women who gave everything in service to the founding ideals of this nation: liberty, justice, and the belief that every person has inherent dignity and worth.

To those who made the ultimate sacrifice, and to the families who carry that loss every single day — we are deeply grateful.

“When my daughter had a foot X-ray at an urgent care, it was billed at $467, and even after insurance, I owed $300 out of pocket. Then the radiologist’s reading fee came separately — billed at $33, with $18.75 still owed. 𝗪𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝘂𝗽 𝗽𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 $𝟯𝟬𝟬 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗫-𝗿𝗮𝘆.

Later, we went to Advanced Radiology for a hand X-ray, and the difference was unbelievable. 𝗪𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗱 $𝟯𝟲.𝟳𝟮 𝘁𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗹 [after insurance], and that included the radiologist’s reading fee. 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗹. 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲. 𝗡𝗼 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀.

On top of that, their patient portal is so much easier to use. I can quickly download receipts, reports, or images without having to call anyone or dig through confusing menus. 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸.

📢 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝘀 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘁!

We are thrilled to welcome Sara and Elodie to the Advanced Radiology team! 🎉

🌟 𝗘𝗹𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗲 (Left) is a sonographer and recent graduate of the Mizzou DMU program. Before ultrasound, she earned a degree in communications and built real-world experience in the field. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her 3-month-old baby boy, going on walks with him and her two dogs, and curling up with a good book.

🌟 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮 (Right) is a radiologic imaging technologist who believes the best part of healthcare is truly listening to patients and helping them get the answers they need to make the best decisions for themselves. When she's not working, you'll find her soaking up the sunshine, hanging out with her kids and animals, listening to music, and tending to her ever-growing plant collection.

Both Sara and Elodie have been doing an amazing job. We are so lucky to have them! 💜

Our 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗠𝗥𝗜 locations in Jefferson City and Osage Beach offer a great option for patients who experience anxiety in traditional MRI machines — but we know questions come up, especially around how much space you'll actually have during your exam.

𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄:
✅ After prep, our technologists will position you comfortably on the table
✅ Our Open MRI uses a medium-strength magnet
✅ Most exams take about 40–90 minutes
✅ Clearance between the table and the scanner above is about 17 inches — and may be less for exams that require coils (like brain, shoulder, knee, or spine)

Our open MRI is a great option for people who experience claustrophobia because of its open sides. Still, if a faster exam would be more beneficial to you, our Columbia location offers a wide-bore closed MRI with a 1.5 Tesla magnet and a 71cm opening, which typically means shorter scan times. Our team is always happy to help figure out which location and machine is the best fit for you.
