Something familiar is creeping back into Fringe.

The ghost has returned.
The latte is hot.
And Year 5 is coming.

PSL 2026.

On September 11, we remember.

This Friday, we’ll take on 𝟵/𝟭𝟭 𝟯𝟰𝟯 — a tribute workout honoring the 𝟯𝟰𝟯 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟬𝟭, along with the thousands of others whose lives were forever changed that day.

This workout is not about the leaderboard.

It’s about showing up, doing hard things together, and taking a moment to remember the sacrifice, courage, and service of those who ran toward danger when others were trying to escape it.

𝗛𝗼𝘄’𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝘂𝘀𝗵-𝘂𝗽 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗴𝗼, 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗟𝘂𝗸𝗲?

Apparently… like this.

A few weeks ago: 𝟰𝟭 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝘀.
Today: 𝟰𝟲 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝘀.

That’s five more strict handstand push-ups than he had at the start of the cycle.
Test. Train. Retest. Improve.
That’s the whole point.

Judging by the thumbs-up, Coach Luke approves.

Nice work, Luke.

Both count.

You don’t have to love every movement. You don’t have to feel great every day. You just have to keep showing up, doing the work, and finding out you’re capable of a little more than you thought.

Meet 𝗔𝗹𝘆𝘀𝘀𝗮.

She shows up. She works hard. She brings a completely reasonable amount of sass with her.

More importantly, she’s one of those people who simply makes the room better.

That’s the part of CrossFit that’s hard to explain until you experience it.

The workouts matter.

The people matter more.

Tomorrow, we’re taking on our version of one of the most memorable tests from the 2022 CrossFit Games.

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗨𝗠𝗡𝗦 is inspired by 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘢𝘱𝘪𝘵𝘰𝘭 — the 2022 Games event that sent athletes through 20 Pig flips, a 3.5-mile run, a 200m Jerry bag carry and a 200m Husafell carry before finishing on the steps of the Wisconsin State Capitol.

We don’t have a 510-lb Pig.
And we’re not making anyone run across Madison.

But we do have tires, barbells, a 5K, heavy carries, sandbags... and our own set of columns waiting at the finish.

For Labor Day, we’re shortening the regular class schedule and running this one in heats:

𝟵:𝟬𝟬𝗮𝗺
𝟵:𝟯𝟬𝗮𝗺
𝟭𝟬:𝟬𝟬𝗮𝗺
𝟭𝟬:𝟯𝟬𝗮𝗺

Choose 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽/𝗥𝘅 and take it on solo, or grab a partner for the 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺/𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗱 version and divide the work.

This is supposed to feel like an event, not just another Monday workout.

Pick your heat. Find your people. Come earn the finish.

This is what a good hour looks like.

Bars on the floor.
People everywhere.

Someone moving fast.
Someone taking a second.
Someone finishing a rep while someone else is already onto the next one.

It’s not especially polished.
It’s not supposed to be.
It’s just a room full of people choosing to spend an hour doing something good for themselves — together.

Jump a little higher.

Keep your hands down.

Turn the rope from your wrists.

Relax your shoulders and your grip.

And if you’re still building them, stop treating 50 unbroken like the starting point.

𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗳𝗶𝘃𝗲. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗲𝗻.

The goal is to leave class a little better at the skill than you walked in.

Save this before your next double-under day — and if they’re still giving you trouble, grab a Fringe coach and let us watch a few reps.

One room. One clock. A bunch of different versions of the same workout.

Someone’s going heavier.

Someone’s moving faster.

Someone’s scaling.

Someone’s just trying to keep the dumbbell overhead and remember how breathing works.

That’s what a good class should look like.

Not everyone doing the exact same thing.

Everyone getting the right version of the work for where they are that day.

𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀. 𝗗𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀. 𝗦𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿.

Not everything we train has handles.
That’s kind of the point.
Sandbags are awkward.

They shift.
They don’t sit perfectly.
And they force you to figure out how to move something that doesn’t cooperate.

Sounds a lot more like real life than a perfectly balanced barbell.
Training should make you better at lifting more than just gym equipment.
