In counseling, congruence means that a person’s thoughts, feelings and behaviors are working together to achieve one’s goals. People often become frustrated when their actions or the actions of others violate their beliefs, desires, feelings, or intentions. Those frustrations can lead to feeli

ngs of depression, anger, or apathy. A person’s thoughts, feelings, and actions are intertwined – one affects the other. In order to achieve our goals and to feel happy and fulfilled these attributes need to work together. It is our goal to help our clients achieve this balance.
