So the science is pretty rock solid that if we want to thrive as we age, our bodies not only need aerobic 🏃, 🚲, 🏊‍♂️ exercise on and an almost daily basis, but also resistance/weight training 🏋️ to build and maintain muscle 💪 on a regular basis.

But what about those days when you just don’t have the time??? Our advice is do what you can in the shortened amount of time you can..

Today, was one of those days for me because a personal matter came up this morning and it shortened my workout time before arriving at our office…

So I did a shortened version of my regular walking 🚶‍♀️ route coupled with this simple shortened version of a resistance lower body routine I made for myself (you can do that too!)

Just move it! Whatever time you have! Your body and mind (mood) will thank you!

Dinner for two at home?

So are you getting back to eating healthfully after the fun summer you’ve had? Well this dish pushes all the buttons of healthy ingredients, loaded with protein, high fiber and healthy fat ( keeping you satiated, being a natural food form of the glp1-shot ) AND it tastes amazing! Plus let’s add the bonus of simple ingredients and instructions!

Meet Body of Health’s new mascot, Taz the Tasmanian Devil, lifting an enormous barbell. Taz represents our patients that are doing GREAT things by improving their health in powerful ways! We’re talking about women and men in follow up visits making noticeable improvements in their loss of fat mass and increase of muscle! How is that you ask? By improving their healthy food intake, starting or increasing their resistance training on a regular basis and incorporating HIIT training in their weekly aerobic workouts! There’s also been improvement with many of our patients with their stress level and sleep quality when they incorporate these lifestyle changes on a REGULAR, SUSTAINABLE basis.

But first, let’s back up, how does this happen? Our practice model allows us to have time to talk and educate our patients with whatever medical concern they have and then give them options. So our patients, in the end, decide how they want to proceed.

We also have a MRI referenced body composition analyzer that allows our patients to trend their results (usually every 3-4 months). This takes away the shame of the “scale” weight by allowing them to compete against themselves for improvement in their muscle mass.

So this is a shout out to our patients making those healthy lifestyle changes now so that they can optimize their healthy lifespan!

It’s our privilege to assist them on their journeys!
