Just one more day until The Walk to End Alzheimer's, this Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Boardman Arts Park! Join the Willow Brook Warriors, the doors open at 8am, the ceremony starts at 9.

Now it's time for a Willow Brook Warriors update: Willow Brook Home joined the effort by hosting a bake sale and raffle, and Willow Brook Run hosted a bake sale as well. There were cupcakes, cookies, brownies, breads, fudge and more. Combined we raised well over $1,000 for the cause! So our total is now: $16,071.48.

Welcome to our final Walking Wednesday, and we have news for you!! With 81 members, the Willow Brook Warriors are officially the largest team in the state of Ohio, as of today! But as amazing as that is... we can do better! As of today, the largest team in the country, has 103 members. So all we need is to gain 24 or more members before this Saturday for the Willow Brook Warriors to surpass that team! Can we do it?

Tea time, anyone? Our assisted living residents at Willow Brook Village welcomed back their friends from the Delaware County Ohio Master Gardener Association for a tea party extravaganza! Master Gardener and Herb Specialist Susan talked about the history of tea and common herbs often used when making herbal teas. Then our residents were able to make their own herbal tea bags using coffee filters filled with lemon balm, rosemary, and dried oranges slices. The hot water was poured, the tea was steeping, and then the Master Gardeners provided some tea time essentials such as rosemary apple cranberry bread, English scones with clotted cream, and cucumber sandwiches. We’re so grateful for this partnership, and this tea party extravaganza was certainly a relaxing time spent together with friends!

It's that time of year again - time for the annual cookout at Scioto Park! Our assisted living residents at Willow Brook Run look forward to this every year and this year did not disappoint. It may have been chilly, but that didn't stop the fun! We grilled hot dogs and brats, and enjoyed some cookout staples: potato salad, chips and dip, watermelon, and cookies.

Bringing real crafting back at Willow Brook Home! Our residents had a great time creating fall themed decor. They encourage you to do something creative this weekend: create something with your hands, put your phone down, color in a coloring book, make fall decor, bake something, etc. Rediscover creativity and whimsy and the magic of fall, like our residents are!
