Congratulations to St. Francis OB/GYN Associate’s Midwife Melissa Hatter, who was recently inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Nurse Midwives. The Fellowship in the American College of Nurse-Midwives (FACNM) is an honor bestowed upon those midwives whose demonstrated leadership within ACNM, clinical excellence, outstanding scholarship and professional achievement both within and outside of the midwifery profession.

In light of the vast wealth of expertise and collective wisdom represented within the body of Fellows, its mission is to serve the ACNM in a consultative and advisory capacity. Compliments to Melissa on this incredible accomplishment.

St. Francis-Emory Healthcare was honored to collaborate with Girls Inc. of Columbus for its End Period Poverty, Period project. Did you know that many girls in the greater Columbus area will miss almost a third of the school year, simply because they do not have the means to purchase feminine hygiene items?

Our incredible team donated 167 packages or 8,356 individual hygiene items to be distributed for young women in need at Girls Inc., also raising $1,120 to assist with this most worthy cause.
