Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 28, 2026, at St. Isidore Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will take place on Friday, August 28, at 3:00 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery in Omaha.

Robert Swope of Columbus, lifelong resident of St. Louis, MO died Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at Emerald Nursing and Rehab in Columbus.

Mass of Christian Burial is 5:00 pm Tuesday, August 25 at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Columbus. Family will receive friends from 4-5 pm at the Church. Interment will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.

He attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney and received his degree in Mortuary Science from DMACC in Ankeny, IA, in 2019. Chase joined McKown Funeral Home in 2016 and has been licensed since 2019. He is a member of 1C Lutheran Church in Columbus. Chase is active with the Genoa Area Chamber of Commerce. In 2025, Chase successfully completed the training to become a Certified Celebrant. With this training, he was able to gain the skills needed to perform funeral celebrations that focus on an individual to create a truly unique tribute that is centered on their life story. 🍒🎂

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Silver Creek. Fr. Mark Tomasiewicz will be the celebrant. Visitation is Monday August 17, 2026 from 5-7 p.m. There will be a 7:00 p.m. vigil service at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Visitation will continue Tuesday morning 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church. Interment will be in the St. Lawrence Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by The American Legion Post #263-Silver Creek

Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 14, 2026, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Columbus. Visitation is 6:00-8:00 Thursday at the church. Visitation will continue Friday from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at the church. Burial is in the Shelby Cemetery.
